Our experienced team strives to provide excellent service to each patient. Each team member attends continuing education courses yearly in order to stay abreast of current methods and technology. Please take a moment to meet our team members!

Through conscious sedation, you can have years of dental work completed in as little as one visit. Hours will seem like minutes as you sleep through your dental visit. This is wonderful for patients with busy schedules who cannot take time to visit the dentist multiple times in order to complete their dental care. Nervous patients can now have the treatment they have been putting off without fear and anxiety.

Step 3 Your sedation preparation visit In preparation for your upcoming sedation visit, you will have a brief meeting with Dr. Gurley and his team to answer any questions you may have about your sedation visit. We will go over everything in detail to prepare you for visit. You will be given your prescription to be taken prior to your sedation visit.

Step 4 Arriving for treatment A friend or family member will bring you to the office. Additional medications may be provided to ensure you are as relaxed as possible. Our experienced team will monitor you throughout your entire visit.

Step 5 Going home A friend or family member will take you home and stay with you for the remainder of the day. You will likely be groggy for the rest of the day, but will awake the following morning with little to no discomfort or recollection of your visit.

I just had the most wondering experience! I called to make an appt for tooth pain. They scheduled me in for an appointment within 24 hours. I haven't seen a dentist since 2005 (gross, I know, but I am petrified). They were so caring and understanding! I will be back for routine care, and won't go anywhere else!

I just left there and I left sad. They didn't explain the costs, just did work. So I was assuming this was my dental cleaning covered by my insurance and when I left, I instead had to pay $200. I would have liked option of knowing this up front. The other issue I have is that not one person introduced themselves until I got to the billing section. The ex-ray, person who cleaned my teeth...the Dentist arrived and I barely heard him and had to ask again for a name. I knew when no one introduced themselves that I was in trouble, but I stayed bc I wasn't able to get to a dentist during majority of covid. But now after paying $200 more than expected, I'm really going to need ot think about keeping a 6 month appointment with them. I feel this should be discussed up front if they decide they need to do extra work, state the specific cost, get permission, then proceed. ***edit to update*** after multiple weeks, I'm still being told that the cost of my procedure is unavailable to me at this time. I have been told that I should expect them to do whatever they want after I sign the original release documents (which are required to get in the door) and that this is normal. This is NOT NORMAL. I have been to multiple dentists in my 40 years and they all present me with the costs prior to any services done if they find out something needs to be done. I think as a consumer it is more than fair for 1- me to want to know work being performed prior to it being performed and 2- know the costs prior to. It's REDICULOUS that 3 weeks later, they still can't explain the costs. Are they gouging insurance and me? Who knows. I can't say they are but they aren't making it easy to trust them. If you have no spending limits and don't care of their procedures, I say go to them.

Dr. Gurley was a terrific, caring doctor. His untimely death has left the practice reeling. I hope everyone can understand and not tear down his practice during this time.

I was a patient here for over 20 years and for the most part... had no issues. In fact I would say I was pretty lucky to have a good dentist for all those years. A lot of credit has to go to the hygienist I had over those years. I think I only had 1 cavity filled in all that time and Dr. Gurley did an excellent job. Unfortunately, about 4 or 5 years ago, the hygienist I had for many years left. The next few visits I never felt I was getting a good cleaning... No consistency with the hygienist. Then I got a bill for a deep cleaning I wasn't expecting... So I thought I'd look for a new dentist... that hasn't worked out so well.

Dr. Gurley is excellent. I have pretty good dental health but he's helped me with some tricky problems, including an injury. He's always patient and clearly explains what's needed and why. I would recommend him to anyone without reservation. He's been my dentist for 30 years.

The Smyrna dental group saw me on very short notice because of another medical condition I had, which had to be cleared prior to starting other procedures. Their entire staff basically bent over backwards to help me and it is something that I will never forget. They are an awesome group of professionals.

Dr. Gurley and staff have my dental health in mind when treating me. He works with me to make sure I have the best care possible. He always tells me to call him if I have any problems. To date I am very happy with the care I receive. I have been going to him for many years.
