Dr. Lopez brings to Smylife Dental over 25 years of experience in the dental field. He is interested in physiology, managing medically compromised dental patients, oral surgery, and complex oral rehabilitation with implants. Dr. Lopez graduated as a dentist from Javeriana University in Colombia and later specialized in Oral Surgery and Pathology at the same university. Later he became an assistant professor in oral Surgery and Pathology at Javeriana University.
Upon coming to Canada, he had to re-qualify his degree. He graduated with honors obtaining the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Western University Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. He spends some years teaching new generations of dental students at Western University.
Dr. Lopez is a member of the California Dental Association, American Dental Association, The Academy of osseointegration, The International Team of Implantology. He enjoys being with his family, hiking, canoeing, and playing tennis in his spare time. Dr. Lopez is fluent in English and Spanish.
Dr. Antonio Luna brings more than 30 years of orthodontic experience to Smylife Dental; born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, Dr. Luna received his dental degree from Javeriana University; he later attended a military university received his orthodontic degree. Dr. Luna became an orthodontist professor in two universities in Colombia and two universities in Mexico. He delights in seeing the incredible transformation and happiness he brings to his patients.
Dr. Luna is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Harbor Dental Society. Dr. Luna enjoys spending time with his three beautiful women, his lovely wife, and two daughters in his spare time.

I was born and raised in Southern California having attended Whittier College and have been practicing in the Chino area for over 25 years. I attended dental school in San Francisco at the University of the Pacific/Dean Dugoni School of Dentistry.
I am a 20+ year member of the ADA, CDA and Tri County Dental Society. I was also the first female president of my society and later represented the society in Sacramento as a Trustee. Additional memberships include the Academy of General Dentistry having obtained Fellowship and Mastership in the organization. Im also a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry and am certified in California and participate in the honorary society of The International College of Dentists.
I feel continuing education is important and have been active over my entire career in keeping current with the latest advances and technologies in dentistry. I also keep active in the Chino Chamber of Commerce. I look forward to meeting you and providing you and your family high quality dental care.
Diana will be your first welcome into SmyLife Dental. She's a professional with a decade of experience working within the intricacies of people management. She's been an active part of the dental field. And started as the doctor's part-time help, answering phones working the front office, where she quickly became passionate about dentistry. Her passion inspired her to further her interest/career by becoming involved with multiple dental study groups to educate & stay current in the field. She's quick to make patients feel at ease by building confidence, trust, and friendship with each patient. Her patient's warm smile and understanding nature make it easy for them to feel comfortable. Everyone was very friendly. Even though I have bad teeth they never made me feel embarrassed or ashamed. They were patient and answered all of my questions. They are a great team. I felt like I was in good hands. I am very happy with the results. I will definitely recommend this place and I will definitely keep going.

Recently I had 4 of my wisdom teeth take out and I was nervous going into it because I've heard that it hurts when they take it out, but that was far from what happened. Dr Lopez took good care of me and he did it surprisingly quick. My 2 bottom wisdoms were too big for one pull and he just cut them in half and that was it. The whole process was only just above an hour. And I could tell he and his assistant were just on top of their stuff. He's for sure my dentist now and I've been looking for a good one for a while. Thanks again Dr Lopez.

For the past few years I've been on the hunt for a reliable and honest dental team. Finally after many, we've found SmyLife. From the front to the back office our experience has been welcoming and pleasant. Annie was clear on the cost and even trying to coordinate with my insurance to ensure my out-of-pocket expense was at it's lowest. Dr. Vargas is sensitive with my lack of tolerance to pain and transparent with the step-by-step procedure. Dr. Lopez did have to perform a surgical procedure and though the word "surgical" alone is intimidating the operation itself was not nearly as exaggerated as I thought it was. Maddie was exceptional to supporting Dr. Vargas during the crowning procedure. Matthew is quick and gentle during xrays and guiding his fellow colleagues. Ann assisted with the surgical procedure and at one-point even adjusted the sunglasses on my face and assured me, "You're going to be okay," though she is very soft-spoken. The office and treatment rooms are bright and clean. All is organized, as you can observe by how all staff know where all items are. Never do they look lost which is important to me. Lots of parking is available and La Michocana is within the same plaza should you want to misbehave with sugar, but don't worry your dentist has your back. Good service is contagious, and I highly recommend SmyLife Dental to our community and more. Typically the word "Dentist" is teeth grinding in-itself, but SmyLife Dental makes "dental" comforting.
