SMPD is absolutely amazing with my daughter who had to have several teeth pulled that were stubborn. Would recommend to everyone !

My 3yo recently needed oral surgery and Smokey mountain was very prompt with the scheduling. The fact that they provided hospital level care in the comfort of their office is a nice accommodation. Finding a dentist and it's crew who is gentle and understanding of children (their profession) is very hard to find. We have no plans on switching offices anytime soon.

Still would not recommend. I have had to wait long periods of time each time I have taken my children for appointments. At one point, they scheduled me for an appointment and gave me a card with the reminder. When I came in with the card for the appointment, I was told someone had not noted in the computer for that time and I had to wait an hour to be seen. They also schedule regular cleanings at very inconvenient times for working parents--all mid morning or early afternoon--and in the middle of lunch and nap times for littles. Overall, I wish there was better management for organization and time--my time is just as valuable as theirs--and flexibility for earlier mornings or late afternoon appointments. Update: still had a long wait to be called back and to see the dentist. It is longer than at the pediatricians office, even. I will say, the staff in the back were much nicer. But the times they do cleanings are still so inconvenient and make no sense to me. Update: they called to cancel an appointment I had last minute, then when I called to reschedule, they said they had changed their mind. By then, it was too late to get off work. When I tried to reschedule, they said it would be January before we were fit it. We ended up sticking with the appointment time, and we got there and had to wait a total of an hour between the waiting room and waiting on the dentist. If I could find another dentist, I would definitely do so. Would not recommend to any of my friends or family.

Horrible experience. My 1 year old had fallen and chipped her front tooth. We decided to take her to Smoky Mountain Pediatric Dentistry. They had us wait for 30 minutes in a tiny room. I asked one of the workers how much longer the wait might be and was told to wait while she checked with the dentist. She finally came back after waiting an additional 30 minutes and she said that he was still with a patient and asked if I could reschedule. First off I had to take sick time to make the appointment and the fact that if I had never asked for an eta we would have sat in that tiny room until the end of time. After reading other reviews it seems as if you need to cancel last minute they have no forgiveness and will charge you for their inconvenience. What about my inconvenience? Their response was to terminate my daughter as a patient. Wow! Just wow. I'd advise anyone to avoid this practice. Go to a practice that actually cares about the well being of their patients. I will be submitting a complaint with the Board of Tennessee Dentistry.

They have seen my grand-daughter several times. Wonderful with the kids and very patient and kind people. I would highly recommend them to anyone. She actually doesn't have any anxiety with going to see the dentist anymore. Thank you all for a great kid experience!

The hygienist and doctors are all kind and patient. They were wonderful when my daughter had to have dental work done. They eased her anxiety and made the process a wonderful experience.

Office staff is rude. They do not take new patients 11 years or older. Avoid.

Amazing dentist. They are so good with the kiddos. My kids always get anxious to go to the dentist but as soon as we get called back the stsff makes them feel comfortable and the forget all about being at the dentist.

Worst office staff. Kis got sick a lot this year and so I had to cancel appointments. So since my kids had their appointments scheduled on the same day I had to cancel both. Well after 3 they dismissed my kids as patients. Didn't care at all!

The hygienist and the dentist who saw my children were kind and did a decent job the last time I was there, but their office policy isn't fair. Unfortunately today I had an 8:45 am appointment with one of my children. I ended up having my other son miss school due to a nasty stomach bug going around. I called at 8:56am and asked if I could still come as I live only minutes away from their office. The girl said I wouldn't make it and I couldn't be seen or reschedule due to their policy. Their policy is that if you miss 3 appointments your kids may no longer may be seen at their practice anymore. I had 3 kids as patients for less than a year, and according to the office manager we missed 6 appointments (2 each). I explained that they had Covid more than one time. He said it didn't matter, and that I had one no show and they could never be seen again. I asked him to please have grace because it wasn't their fault, and he told me that they cannot run a business like that. I even told him I could provide a doctors note to show that my son did indeed get sick so they could see that I really was compromised unexpectedly, and he didn't care. He also told me his front desk girl noted that when I called this morning I had called because I overslept, and I never said that. I am saddened and feel like this is unjust. I told him I could pay a fee for the missed appointments but he just dismissed that as well. I will be filing a complaint against the practices of this office.

Absolutely amazing experience! Staff is so kind and welcoming. We have had a bad experience previously at another place and the nerves were REAL before this appointment. My 7 year old left feeling confident and is excited about the next visit! Game changer!
