She understands the problems and pain oral and maxillofacial issues can cause and strives to eliminate them at every opportunity. She loves a challenge! Dr. Munk is very active in her community. She is on the dental board at Mather Hospital and St.Charles Hospital. She is also on the board of directors for the Suffolk County Dental Society. In her free time, Dr. Munk loves skiing, horseback riding and traveling with her husband, 5 children, two dogs and her cat.

He did his Post-Doctoral training in Periodontics, at the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontics, Academy of Osseointegration, Northeastern Society of Periodontists, and Hambletonian Study Club. Dr. Hofer takes time to listen carefully to individual concerns of patients and aims to tailor treatment according to individual conditions instead of trying to implement a 'one size fits all' approach. During his free time, Dr. Hofer enjoys the outdoors, tennis, playing the guitar, and musical production. He is married and comes from a large family -- five brothers and three sisters -- who mostly live in the western states.
