Dr. Jared Wright is originally from Southeast Texas, but he and his family are proud to now call Bulverde home. He developed an enthusiasm for dentistry at a young age after being exposed to it through an uncle who is also a dentist.
Dr. Wright received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. Dr. Wright is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the River District Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He has made continuing education a priority in his professional career, focusing on courses in endodontics and oral surgery. During a two-year mission in Puerto Rico, Dr. Wright became fluent in Spanish, and this skill is particularly beneficial in the care of patients whose first language is Spanish.
Dr. Wright is a compassionate dentist devoted to creating a positive experience for each of his patients. Dr. Wright and his wife Melanie have five beautiful children. When Dr. Wright is not in the office, you will find him supporting the many activities in which his kids are involved. He enjoys the outdoors and early morning runs. His goal with Smithson Valley Family Dentistry is to make every patients comfort his #1 priority, providing the highest-quality customer service and dental care in a relaxed environment.

Love'em! Smithson Valley Family Dentistry is unbeatable from the second you walk in and are greeted by Jessica. I could tell you stories about my childhood dental visits, one where I ran into a nearby church and went AWOL for a good while, but Google isn't the place. So, anyway, I have battle "scars." ha. Dr. Wright is so kind and accommodating. About a month ago I had three crowns prepped on the same day, I have 'cancelitis.' So, I prefer getting as much work done as possible in one appointment. Such a comfortable experience! Amazing! You can talk to them about all the options available to make your chair time as pleasurable as possible. They understand. Fast forward... Yvette fitted my new crowns today --perfect fits-- and my next appointment for cleaning is in October with Sarah. I highly recommend SVFD, especially for those with cancelitis.

I moved into the area and this was my first visit to this dentist office and it was great! The hygienist and dentist were both so patient and kind. I would recommend them to everyone!!!

After years with another dentist, we made the switch. We moved to this office cause our previous didn't see pediatric patients. My 5 year felt comfortable enough to let them see her teeth. I recently had some work and a cleaning done and was very pleased. So glad to have made the switch!

Had my first visit this morning. The staff and dentist are very nice. My dental hygienist was awesome. She did a great job and took her time with me. Felt like they really cared. Thanks to everyone at SVFD.

I went because my wife suggested them. I have always had a fear of Dentists. Ive never felt so comfortable, and truly believe the patient comes before the dollar with these folks. Five stars bc I cant give MORE!!

Wonderful experience, Sarah is the best hygienist. I'm one of those with a bad childhood experience that still causes anxiety, Sarah was gentle, compassionate, I almost forgot I was in a dental chair. Dr Wright is pleasant, listens and works with you on the best plan for your dental health. The front desk staff is extremely pleasant. I'm thrilled to have found a great dental office.

Lovely clean office, staff is very friendly. They even have TVs on the ceiling to watch while they work on you. So glad to have found a great dentist in the area!

The staff here is so wonderful! I've always dreaded the dentist, and to say the least it had been a little bit of time since going, but they made my experience anxiety free. My daughter will be coming for her first dental visit next week and I'm so glad this is the office we found :)

DO NOT GO HERE ruined my teeth, the dentist left decay in EVERY single cavity he supposedly cleaned and filled. I went to a new dentist do to moving and my new dentist showed me how there was black under ALL my filled cavities and one is closing in on a root canal thanks to improper cleaning of my cavities! Nothing but wasted time and MONEY now I have to spend MORE MOMEY fixing all the cavities he did not clean.
