Dr. L. Fernando Quirs earned his dental degree from University of Costa Rica and completed his clinical externship at the University of Bergen, Norway. He continued his postgraduate training in a general practice residency with a concentration in implants and cosmetic dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry. Afterwards, Dr. Quirs relocated to Norfolk, VA to enter private practice. Dr. Quirs is committed to improving himself through continual education courses. In 2016, he completed the year-long Implant Residency program at Triangle Dental Institute in North Carolina. He also achieved Fellow status in the Academy of General Dentistry, which is a 5-year program requiring over 500 hours of continuing education. Hes currently working towards an Associate Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Dr. Quirs is a member of the Tidewater Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and American Dental Association. In his spare time, he enjoys training for and participating in triathlons, traveling, and spending time with his family.
