I dont like going to the dentist but these guys make it better. Everyone is very friendly and Im in and out of cleanings fast but not rushed. Dr. Greg Wetterhus was born and raised in Puyallup and attended Puyallup High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Washington State University, then received his dental degree from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 1991.

Dr. Wetterhus worked in Federal Way from 1991 to 1993 before joining Dr. Dan Smiths practice in 1994. Dr. Smith had been considering going back to graduate school but decided to partner with Dr. Wetterhus. It couldnt have worked out better, as Dr. Wetterhus had always wanted to come back to practice dentistry in his hometown.

Dr. Wetterhus says the most rewarding part of his job is planning and placing dental implants. He loves getting our team involved as they truly excel in their knowledge of the entire implant process. He also likes working on cosmetic and full-mouth reconstruction cases. He enjoys planning out the treatment using advanced technology like our CT scanner, creating models, and then implementing the treatment for the benefit of our patients.

Dr. Wetterhus wants our patients to know that we are, and will always be, a family practice built around a community. We will not sell out to corporate dentistry. We run a very conservative practice based on sound dental principles, and we will always try to provide the best technology that our industry has to offer. His hard work pays off Dr. Wetterhus was awarded Seattle Met magazines Top Dentist for 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.

When he is not helping to create beautiful smiles, Dr. Wetterhus enjoys spending time with his family. He is married and has two children and one grandchild. He recently purchased a beach house on Hood Canal, where he spends his weekends fishing and relaxing.

Dr. Dan Smith grew up in California. He studied at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in Southern California, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1986 with numerous clinical achievement awards. While in dental school, Dr. Smith earned honors in implantology and served as a school officer in clinical affairs. He volunteered to provide dental care to the underserved people in Mexico, among other places, thus beginning his career of service to others.

Dr. Smith was selected by his peers for the Top Dentist award featured in Seattle Met magazine. He is devoted to lifelong learning. Advanced education allows him to offer his patients a superior dental experience and an unparalleled level of quality care with the latest technology and advancements in dentistry. He works to provide an environment where his patients are relaxed, well informed, and aware that their dental health is his top priority. He specializes in improving smiles by using the latest cosmetic dentistry procedures.

Dr. Smith is active with the Tacoma Implant Study Club and the Advanced Prosthetic Study Club. He is a graduate of Creating Restorative Excellence at the Kois Center, one of the countrys leading institutions of advanced dental training, where he also serves as a mentor and has achieved clinical instructor status.

Ashley has worked in the dental field since 2018, joining our staff in 2022. Interacting with our patients is her favorite part of her job. Outside of the office, Ashley enjoys camping, spending time with family, doing arts and crafts, and hunting.

Jasmin has worked for us since 2019, beginning her dental career at the same time. She likes working together with our team for successful patient outcomes. In her spare time, Jasmin loves to cook and spend time with friends and family.

Danielle joined our team in 2020, but has worked in dentistry since 2009. The best part of her job is our amazing team and being able to connect with patients. Away from the office, Danielle enjoys spending time with her children, as well as camping, hiking, and boating.

Mary joined our team in 1999 and has worked in dentistry since 1994. She enjoys the connections she has built with her teammates and patients. Outside of work, Mary enjoys family time, traveling, hiking, reading, live music, attending her kids sporting events, and doing yoga.

Julie joined our staff in 2018, having worked in dentistry since 2011. She loves interacting with our patients and educating them on oral health. Away from work, Julie enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, reading, being outdoors, and relaxing with a good movie.

Jessica began working in dentistry in 2018, becoming a member of our team in 2020. She loves her job and enjoys working to build relationships with each of our patients. Jessica spends her spare time with her husband, daughter, and dogs.

Stephanie joined our crew in 2019, beginning her dental career back in 2010. She likes building relationships with patients and teaching them how to have healthy smiles. Stephanie enjoys taking in all the Pacific Northwest has to offer, from the outdoors to craft breweries to sporting events.

Echo joined our staff in 2016, having worked in dentistry since 2000. The best part about her job is working with our patients and helping them feel comfortable. In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies with her kids and traveling.

Angela has worked with us since 2017 and in the dental field since 2013. She likes helping out with our wide variety of services and is pursuing an expanded functions dental assistant certification. Outside of work, she enjoys family time and serving at her church in Federal Way.

Robin began her dental career in 1985 and came on board with us in 2021. She enjoys working with a fun staff and meeting new people. Robin spends her free time with her family and traveling with her husband. She also loves to bake.

Shelbee joined our team in 2020, the same year she began her dentistry career. She loves joking with her patients and coworkers in our lighthearted office atmosphere. Her hobbies include playing with her dogs and enjoying the outdoors.
