Dr. Kat grew up just south of Charlotte, North Carolina, but she was actually born in the former USSR and came to the United States as a baby. She loves seeing the transformation in her patients lives and confidence.

Dr. Heymann remained at UNC for his specialty training in orthodontics, where he received the Andrew McArthur Brooks Fellowship, as well as earned a Master of Science and an orthodontic certificate from one of the most well-respected orthodontic programs in the world.
Dr. Kat attended UNC, where she earned her undergraduate and dental degrees. From there, she went on to study orthodontics at Texas A&M University in Dallas, where she won the prestigious award of Resident of the Year from an esteemed orthodontic journal.
