Wow! What an experience. During vacation my crown came off. Part of the tooth broke off with it. Dr. John did a wonderful job repairing cleaning and now I have a temporary crown. In two weeks I'll have the permanent. Thank you Dr. John.

I was in need of a root canal. I have had a lifelong fear of dental procedures. Dr. Smith's office provided me with a mild Sedative. The procedure was quick and painless. The staff was extremely helpful and impressive. I would highly recommend it.

Communication is a problem, with this practice. I got a cleaning and indicated some concern about some old fillings, asked them to get back to me after analyzing the x-rays. A month later, I started to have pain in a tooth with one of those fillings. I called them up and they couldn't see me about it for a MONTH for a root canal. They made me pay up front for the root canal. They had failed to get my dental records from my previous dentist. They had to be told how to anaesthetize me. After they did the procedure, I heard nothing until some chipper young thing called me to tell me that my cap was in and I should come in that afternoon. I asked her what I would be going through because I have anxiety around dental procedures and she said, "Well, you don't have to be rude!" I waited for them to get back to me before my appointed time to get the cap, but heard nothing. On the appointed day, I was full of anxiety, so much so that I cried. The dentist said, "boy the pollen is bad today" and expected me to agree. He diddled around with the poorly-fitting cap for close to an hour. He finally asked, "Have you had a check-up here?" I indicated that I had, more than a month before. He then looked at my chart and said, "You have a chipped filling." An informed and adept dentist might have considered that while I was out for the root canal, but he clearly had not read my chart and none of his staff bothered to read it, either. I would not suggest going to this practice unless you're really cavalier about going to the dentist. They are pretty callous and I would not recommend them to anyone who has any anxiety at all.

I came in today for a filling and I just want to say how much I appreciated Eriks kindness and patience throughout the whole thing. I'm 8 months pregnant but I wanted to get the filling down now to try and relieve some discomfort I was having. The appointment wasn't easy being in the third trimester but he made me feel as comfortable as possible. Thank you

I am terrified of the dentist but my experience with this office has been nothing but terrific, they got my cleaning done and X-rays, they found some cavities and took time to explain the process and answer any questions I had and booked me in for a filling, the doctor was extremely patient and kind and all the staff made the process so much easier for me. Coming from one anxiety filled person to anyone else, I would 100% recommend them.

I was quite disappointed with my visit, from start to finish. I was on time for my appointment and waited for 35 minutes in the waiting room. The hygienist was nice, did well with my kiddos (5 years old and 2) but did not offer to use lead shielding for the xrays. I looked it up and it's not required in Oregon but still recommended for children given the sensitivity of their thyroid. The actual dentist (the older one) spent literally 30 seconds with my kiddos and didn't even ask if I had any questions or concerns. He basically said "Flouride is good for teeth, tell your friends!" and walked away to finish with another patient and procedure. For my own experiences, there is no dental probing (important to assess for bone loss, I have a history of periodontal disease so it would be nice to know how that's doing), the hygienists are rushed. I'll be looking elsewhere for care.

Dr John Smith was the sixth dentist that I visited for a aching tooth and questions about five previously root-canaled teeth. He was knowledgeable and honest. I was then referred to a endodontist for possible treatment. But I was so happy with the operation of his practice and the way my initial appointment went that I established future care with him. I was very pleased with the crown procedure and how he took extra time to make sure everything fit and functioned. You can tell that he cares and enjoys being a dentist and helping patients. I am happy to drive over 80 miles round trip to be his patient.

I'm was going to a big dental group (GD) and I'm very happy I switched to this office. This office doesn't try to sell any extra services that are unwanted and unneeded and the dentists here are great communicators. I have moved my entire family over to this office and it was the best move. Front desk is efficient and dental staff are wonderful as well. I highly recommend this office and that's hard for me as I'm a very nervous dental patient to begin with.

After having no luck with the dentist offices where we live we chose to drive an hour + to go to Smith Dental. I have had problems with my teeth for quite awhile and been unable to eat. I was told I would need a root canal which we could not afford. Dr. Smith had X-rays done and told me I had a cavity that had spread to the tooth next to it. He fixed the cavity and for the first time in a long time I can actually eat and no pain! We most definitely will drive the distance again in the future for any cleanings or any other dental care needed it is totally worth it and very happy with this practice. Great dentist and very friendly and nice employees! Thank you all for your kindness, great work and professionalism!

My visits was good. I also took my 2 years old for his first cleaning today and Randi did a great job too. I love that they text me to remind me of my appointment too.
