Dr. Christopher Smith grew up in Roswell, Georgia. He attended Clemson University, graduating with a degree in Financial Management in 1998, and graduated from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 2003.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Smith joined the practice that his father, Dr. Robert H. Smith, founded in 1979. Since then, he has committed to staying abreast of the latest techniques and materials through his dedication to continuing education. He is part of the first group of one of the nations most respected study clubs, The Spear Study Group, where for the last 10 years Dr. Smith has attended monthly meetings to discuss complex patient treatment plans and learned about the latest techniques in dentistry. He is also a current member of the Southwest Georgia Study Club.
Committed to community service, Dr. Smith serves on the board of directors of the Good Samaritan Health Clinic of Cobb, which serves the needs of the working poor by providing quality Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, and counseling services. He was also a past member of the Roswell Rotary Club.
Dr. Smith is dedicated to providing the highest quality treatment to his patients with a caring and honest philosophy. He and his wife, Jaydee, live in Marietta with their 2 children, Abney and Austin. He enjoys fishing, running, hunting, and coaching his sons soccer team.
Dr. Van completed his pre-doctoral training at Indiana University receiving degrees in Physical Therapy and an MBA in Finance with a focus in healthcare, and then went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at The Dental College of Georgia where he received advanced training in implant dentistry, dentoalveolar surgery, intravenous sedation, and medically complex patients.
Dr. Van has extensive medical experience. He worked at a Level I Trauma Center in Indianapolis treating patients with wounds and burns as well as patients with orthopaedic concerns. He also served as Adjunct Faculty for the Indiana University Physical Therapy Program. After moving to Georgia in 2007, Dr. Van co-owned a physical therapy office in Marietta for several years.
Dr. Van is a proud member of American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry. He is involved with the Seattle Study Group, and the Hinman Dental Society, and is on staff with the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University.

I can't recommend this office enough! I broke old bonding on one of my upper front teeth and they got me in the very next day. Dr. Chris worked his magic and made it look even better!

This is a great place! Friendly, and efficient service. They took time to ensure I was comfortable, and they explained everything thoroughly. You can see the teamwork among the staff. I was truly concerned about going back to the dentist since it been years since I had been to one but I am so glad I did!

Everyone who has cleaned my teeth has been awesome and friendly. The front desk ladies are also friendly and hospitable. Dr. Smith is a great guy and has great bedside manner.

Refreshing, caring approach to dental care. I came to Dr. Rockefeller last year after a traumatic experience with another dentist which resulted in two root canals. Dr R took the time to educate me and help me understand all that was happening with my care after the root canals. He made me feel so much better and whenever I call this office with a question he always gets on the phone and speaks to me, and has me come in if necessary. I've never met a dentist who goes above and beyond they way he does. He focuses on providing care the right way - he is patient, he is friendly, and helps his patients understand their options for their dental needs. He guides his patients to prevent problems from occurring or worsening. I highly recommend Dr Rockefeller and his office. His staff is also incredibly welcoming and kind. I'm so happy I found this dental office!

I should have written a review on Smith and Meadows dentistry a long time ago. The dentists there have been our dentists for over 28 years. Dr. Meadows was our family dentist through all the years as our kids grew up and now Dr. Van Rockefeller is filling his shoes spectacularly. The staff is the best, from the delightful girls up front, to the hygienists (shout out to Wendy) as well as the dental assistants. Many of our friends have similar experiences and have been with this practice for many years like ourselves. No one leaves them!

Dr. Rockefeller is an exceptional dentist. I had neglected to go to the dentist for a very long time because of bad experiences in the past. I was referred to Smith and Rockefeller by a family friend and have finally found a dentist I can trust. I had to have three fillings and a crown put in and it was painless and affordable. Dr. Rockefeller made sure that I was comfortable and explained everything that he was doing along the way. He is definitely a perfectionist and his work reflects that!

Wonderful experience! Dr Van Rockefeller filled a little pitch on top of my teeth. He's extremely patient, telling you what's he's going to do before any procedure that may cause discomfort. And a professional staff her name begins with C but I don't know how to spell it (sorry about my English), she's pretty friendly and skilled too! Highly recommended!

Dr Christopher Smith is the best! His assistant too! I had a root canal 2 years ago in another dentist. So my tooth started getting dark almost black. I went to see Dr Christopher Smith and he fixed it. My tooth looks the same as before I got that root canal. They are honest and super professional. Never again I will go anyone else! Recommended for anyone!!!!

Look no further, this is the best dental team/office ever. I have had maxofacial jaw surgery and would not trust another dental office to touch my teeth (surgery by Emory University). There knowledge and care make them stand out from everyone else, from the front desk to the back of the office you won't find a better dental experience.

I am one of those people that dread getting dental work!! However, I can't say enough wonderful things about my experience with Smith and Meadows. I was very anxious going into my dental appointment because my dad and sister have always been my dentists'. However I recently moved away from where they practice and of course had a dental emergency. I heard great things about Smith and Meadows so I called the emergency line. They got back to me immediately over the weekend and assured me somebody would be able to see me on Monday. Even one dentist down they managed to get me in! As busy as Dr. Meadows was, he took his time and made sure my tooth looked exceptional!! Dr. Meadows was such a perfectionist which is what you want when getting work done on your front tooth!! I cannot thank him enough for the great work he did!!!! I am glad to have found such a great group that I can now trust as much as my dad and sister!:)
