Dr. Michael Alano attended Loma Linda University for his undergraduate degree before continuing on to the New York University College of Dentistry for his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He has been practicing dentistry for over fifteen years and recently opened our new Chino Hills, CA dental office, Smiling Hills Dental.
I love seeing patients who were previously fearful about dental care actually smiling when they leave my office because it was not as scary as they thought it would be. I love seeing patients recover the smile they lost due to poor dental health. I feel so rewarded when I can save a tooth that everyone else (including other dentists) has given up on. Truly a family man, Dr. Alano has been married for over twenty-five years and has two young adult children a son and a daughter! When he is at home, you can find him cooking, playing the piano, or shooting hoops!
Highly recommend Smiling Hills Dental and specifically Dr. Alano for his comforting nature and dental expertise. This is a high quality facility and knowledgeable staff. My dental case was a bit unique and with most dentist the damaged tooth would have been a total loss that required removal. However, Dr. Alano was able to save the tooth and provide a flawless crown that should last for years to come. Great dental service for an entire family.

Dr. Alano is great. He takes his time explaining treatments to you and genuinely listens to your concerns. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I trust Smiling Hills Dental and hope to be a patient here for many years.

Great practice! Dr. Alano knows what he is doing and goes the extra mile in a friendly relaxed way that I nearly fell asleep. His assistant and front office are very knowledgeable and make you feel right at home. I have recommended several people to Dr Alano and they are also very happy with his services.

Smiling Hills Dental is up to date with technology for assistance in signing in and is a very clean dental office, made me feel very welcomed. The entire staff is lovely, from the receptionists in the front such as Joanna, to Dr. Alano. I recently had an emergency visit, and their team was so helpful from the consultation, to referring us to other offices that would be able to further assist us.

I was at Smiling Hills Dental 4 times in two weeks. I am so far 100% happy with the treatment I received. Everyone there -- Dr. Alano, Evelyn, Joanna -- is very kind, responsive, thoughtful, and caring. Their service attitude is excellent and professional; the three of them work as an effective team. I immediately recommended this clinic to my family members. You dont need to look further if you live in the Chino Hills area.

My husband and I made our first appts here yesterday. The staff was very friendly and check in was easy. The Dentist was great at explaining and communicating throughout the entire visit. We are happy to have found this Dental office. I highly recommend Smiling Hills Dental office.

Doctor is always on time. He values My time. He is Professional but friendly. Dr Alano took the time to get to know me and my particular situation. In addition he told me about himself, his background and training. I was reluctant to change dentists at first, but that feeling was quickly eliminated after see Dr Alano. The staff is professional and welcoming. So glad I found Dr Alano.

If you're looking for a dentist, look no further. Dr. Alano and the staff at Smiling Hills are super welcoming and friendly. I'm glad that I was able to locate a local Dentist close to home & a very well qualified one at that!!! Dr. Alano & his staff are true professionals in their field. Let's admit it, going to the Dentist is often times not one that individuals like me look forward to. However, having a Dentist that is not in a hurry, cares, listens & thoroughly explains the procedures does help a peace one's anxiety in a Dental office. If you're looking for a "gentle" Dentist", Dr. Alano's definitely the one. He is very meticulous, careful & accurate which is critical in any Dental procedure. Not in a hurry at all, even took xrays in between to ensure to clean up my cavity as close as possible to my root nerve but not cause any pain or requiring further root canal process. I love this place. This team at Smiling Hills Dental is committed to doing everything they can for their customers. Dr. Alano and his team are gentle and thoughtful in their approach. I have a phobia normally when doing the x-rays, but they get it done carefully and thoughtfully. Definitely recommended.

My experience with Smiling Hills Dental has been excellent, his staff is professional and polite. Dr. Alano gives easy to follow instructions for the procedures and how to continue maintenance at home. His office is super clean and they are taking preventative measures for Covid.
