Dr. Chris has returned home to serve the local community and join his fathers practice, established in Hillsborough since 1986. A true Somerset county native, Dr. Chris started his childhood in Hillsborough and moved to Montgomery Township where he completed his primary and secondary education. After enrolling at Rutgers University, he was accepted into the selective seven-year combined BA/DMD program. While at Rutgers Dental School, Dr. Chris was awarded the Frank E Frates award for excellence in patient care and management along with the excellence in periodontics award. In addition to those honors, he graduated in the top of his class as salutatorian. Dr. Chris decided to further his education in the dental arts and was accepted into the Orthodontics and Dentofacial-Orthopedics Residency at Tufts University in Boston. Upon graduation, Dr. Chris worked in the greater Boston area and was voted Bostons Best Dentist by Boston Magazine. He is excited to bring home his expertise to serve the Hillsborough, Montgomery, Bridgewater, Raritan and more!

My son has dental work done by Dr Lin. I found Dr Lin very meticulous, honest, patient and friendly with patients. He explained the work in thorough before he began. The facility is clean. We were extremely glad to have Dr Lin for the dental work.

Wonderful overall experience. Usually a nervous person at the dentist but Dr. Chris made me feel comfortable. He is honest, trustworthy, and knows his stuff. Would definitely recommend!!!

I was referred to Smilin Family Orthodontics from a close friend in Hillsborough. The office is located right off 206 next to Wendy's and accepts insurances from Delta, UnitedHealthcare, and Horizon. I would highly recommend Dr. Lin! He's friendly, easy to speak with, and takes his time to answer questions.

I accepted I would have an overbite forever since I'm now a mid-30s adult. But that was before making an appointment to see Dr. Lin. Very grateful to have a perfect bite! Highly recommend!

Went to see Dr. Chris at Smilin Family Orthodontics in Hillsborough for invisalign and I was blown away by the outstanding family-oriented service. Dr. Chris took his time explaining all of the different options I had, including metal braces and clear plastic aligners. He had all digital x-rays and a digital scanner so I didn't need to put that gag inducing impression material in my mouth. Afterwards, I got to see my teeth on a computer screen and saw how they came together. I learned from Dr. Chris that there is so much more than just straightening teeth but also how the teeth come together and chew. I left excited about the prospects of invisalign and happy that I found Dr. Chris Lin as my orthodontist. He is the best dental specialist I've spoken to in the area and I will be coming back to bring my kids to see him.

I went to Dr. Lin when my teeth relapsed after years of ortho treatment. It wasn't an easy fix, but Dr. Lin did a wonderful job! He corrected what I was dissatisfied with the first time I got braces and improved my bite as well. He also has such pleasant chair side manners which you don't see with a lot of dentists. I would highly recommend him if you want a painless experience.

I can not say enough good things about my experience at Smilin' Family Orthodontics. From scheduling an appointment to that actual visit, the process is seamless. The office is well kept, organized, and staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Lin is a wonderful orthodontist--good at his craft and very kind. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Dr. Lin is fantastic!! He did such a great job on my smile. I had braces when I was a teenage and never wore my retainer. I was getting married soon and wanted to straighten my teeth before then. Dr. Lin made me a beautiful smile in 10 months! I could not be more happier. :) He takes the time to answer all my questions and was super gentle every time I went in. His staff is friendly and the office has a great atmosphere. I highly recommend him to for both adults and kids!!

Dr. Lin is an amazing orthodontist and I highly recommend him! I went to him for Invisalign and the level of care and attention to detail was second to none. You only get one set of teeth, so don't make a mistake and hesitate in going to see him!
