As a pediatric dental professional, I stay up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry in order to provide the most current treatment options for my little patients. As a doctor, I recognize that my patients are unique individualsand their parentshave placed a great deal of trust in me and my team. That is just one reason why I value each and every patient relationship.
Dr. Oana Romasan graduated from New York University College of Dentistry with two extra years of specialized training in Pediatrics. She completed her specialty training at NYU and Bellevue Hospital in New York City where she was Chief Resident. Dr. Romasan was also Clinical Assistant Professor at New York University for two years. She was in a private practice in Manhattan before moving to South Florida in 1999. Dr. Romasan then opened her own practice in 2001 here in Wilton Manors and has remained open throughout the years.
Dr. Romasan works diligently to provide the gentle care she wants for her patients. She focuses on accommodating each of her patients to the best of her ability. She treats each patient as if they were one of her own family.
Dr. Marcela Solarte was born in Colombia and raised in Weston, Florida. She believes in the upmost quality care for all her patients and families, emphasizing trust and personalized attention. She completed her undergraduate and dental degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She earned her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry from NYU Langone Lutheran Medical Center. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
Dr. Solarte is a certified Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is an active member in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Kristy Kao was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended the University of Pennsylvania for her undergraduate studies with a major in Biological Basis of Behavior. She subsequently went on to attend dental school at Columbia University in New York, where she realized her love of working with children. Upon graduation from Columbia, Dr. Kristy completed specialized training in pediatric dentistry at Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center where she further developed her skills in treating children of all ages. Dr. Kristy looks forward to giving each patient a fun, positive experience at the dentist and setting them up for a lifetime of dental health!

Tonya has been working alongside Dr. Romasan since 2001 as her assistant. Now, she oversees the office and keeps it running in tip-top shape. Tonya is known as the trouble-maker of the Smiley Kidz family for squirting water at our patients during their cleanings! She enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing, and camping but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
Cyndi has been part of the Smiley Kidz Family since 2018. Cyndi is the proud mother of one intelligent and beautiful daughter whos in her first year of college and 2 adventurous boys. She loves spending time with her family and friends.

With four kids I have seen my share of dentist. Dr. Romasan is the best pediatric dentist in the business! She truly has a gift both for dentistry as she does with connecting to children. My children love going to the dentist and I have to credit that all to her and her staff. They make them feel comfortable and treat them like family! We (Ana, Adrian, Alexander, Andrew) highly recommend Smiley kids for a great dental experience.

My 2 year old had such a great experience here for his first visit! We were able to get his teeth cleaned thanks to the help of Dr Kristy and the wonderful hygienist. They made it fun for him and for me!

I've been taking my son to Smiley Kids for years. Dr. Romasan is wonderful, as is her staff. They make cleanings and check ups a breeze and Always accommodate our usually busy schedule. I just brought him in for his cleaning and I was very pleased with the extra care that they took to keep us safe. I would highly recommend Smiley Kids if you are looking for a pediatric dentist.

My family always has a great experience here! I have been taking my kids here for many years and have always received very personal and detailed care. All the staff are professional and the office is very clean. Having my children's teeth cared for here is a pleasure.

The professionalism and friendliness of the whole team is outstanding! My daughters look forward to every visit. Even though we only see Dr.Oana a few times a year for cleanings, we feel like part of the family. Always a warm welcome and never a long wait. During our first visit years ago, Dr. Oana got a great photo of our youngest daughter pretending to be a dentist. We cherish this photo and it set the tone for each visit we have had after that. Dr.Oana is like a "kid whisperer" she knows how to make them laugh, feel comfortable during the visit and walk away confident. We are so lucky to have found Smiley Kidz and highly recommend them!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE!! We took my nephew (who is 5 years old) here and had a horrific experience. The bedside manner was terrible, the doctor and her assistants were overly aggressive from start to finish. The Doctor stuck him with Novocaine in the cheek on accident (which obviously upset him) and instead of trying to help calm him down they pinned him to the chair and threatened to strap him to a board which only upset him more. We finally took him to the restroom to calm him down so we could try again and they had packed up and cleaned up the room and told us to go to a different dentist. Save your time and your child the traumatic experience and go somewhere else.

Today was my son's second visit to their office. I've received professional service from the first time I called their office. They've answered all my questions thoroughly and put me at ease in regards to procedures. My son had a cavity filled and I can't describe how in sync Dr. Solarte and her assistant were. They worked efficiently, and they were caring and very considerate of how my 4 year old was reacting to the procedure. Thank you.

Dr. Oana is the best! My kids have gone here for 10 years and love it. Routine cleanings are quick and fun, and anything additional always has been handled with a great deal of professionalism and kindness. Highly recommend!

Dr. Oana is Excellent! She's very thorough and caring making you feel right at home. My kids used to be terribly afraid of the dentist and now they look forward to going. They get to watch a movie during any procedure, cleanings, fillings Etc. Which keeps them calm while trying not to laugh at the many jokes the dental hygienist makes. Her office staff also goes the extra mile to make everyone feel welcome and right at home.

Dr Oana and the staff at Smiley kids are the best! My son has always been terrified of the dentist until we found Smiley Kids. The hygienist, Kat, worked quickly and with a smile. I highly recommend Smiley Kids!
