Dr. Godiwala and our team practice mercury-free dentistry. This means we do not fill cavities with amalgam, which contains 50% mercury and endangers your health. We can safely remove existing amalgam fillings and restore with mercury-free tooth colored composite.
I like to spend time and understand concerns of my patients. In addition, I am sure to provide our patients with information they need so that they understand why each procedure is recommended, the options available, and how their chosen procedure is performed. I like to engage my patients in their treatment plan to ensure they have a full understanding before beginning.
A little bit about myself: I wanted to be a dentist ever since I was a child. Its truly fascinating how dentistry integrates science with art and since both have been my passion, being able to serve as a dentist is like living my dream each day!
I received my undergraduate (BDS) and graduate (MDS-Master Degree in Oral Diagnosis and Medicine) from Mumbai, India. I completed my DDS in California in 1999 and have been serving the Bay Area since then.
I was born and raised in Taiwan and then emigrated to the Bay Area over 20 years ago. I received my bachelors degree from UC Berkeley and dental degree from A.T. Still University in Arizona. I was trained to be an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon at UCSF Fresno Medical educational program. In my free time, I like to ride my road bike and cruise around the Bay Area. I also like hiking and photography. It is a pleasure to work with Dr. Godiwala and I am looking forward to take care of your oral surgery needs at Smileworld Family Dental.
I graduated from Cabrillo College in 2008 with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. I have been in the dental field for ten years and I enjoy taking continuing education in dentistry to further my skills. My passion for dental hygiene stems from sharing experiences with patients in the dental chair and and providing education to patients about oral health. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, exercising, traveling, and spending time with my dog, Lexie!
I graduated From Bryman College in 2004 as Dental Assistant. I have been working at Smileworld Family Dental since January 2009. I started as Dr. Godiwalas dental assistant and progressively took over the position of the office treatment coordinator and office manager. My favorite part of my job is helping patients learn the value of good oral health, and getting to work with such a wonderful team.
The best part of my job is listening to patients goals and concerns in order to create a healthy, beautiful smile. I enjoy hiking, photography, cooking, and when not working my time is spent with kids and family.
I graduated from Foothill College as a Dental Hygienist. I enjoy my profession because Im able to interact with patients and build a relationship with them as well as promote overall health through oral health. I aspire in my career to treat each person as an individual and give the best treatment I can while educating and informing them of their current oral health. I love to travel, photograph my adventures, and spend time with my family and friends.
I graduated from Carrington College as a Dental Assistant in June 2019. Though it has been only a year, Ive learnt a lot and enjoy my role. I find helping people better their oral health gratifying. I look forward furthering my education and career in dentistry. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family and friends and travel.
I graduated from Carrington College in 2019. I started my career in dentistry at Smileworld Family Dental as an Administrative Assistant. It has been a veryenjoyable experience. Now, I have started to enter the clinical aspect of it and it is quite exciting! I enjoy interacting with our patients, and assuring that their dental needs are met and maintained. Outside of work, I like to spend time with my family, I love going to the beach and traveling.

I have been visiting Dr. Mira Godiwala for more than a decade now. Dr. Mira and her entire staff really takes good care of their patients. Its amazing how they remember the last visit and your preferences. I've referred several of my friends over the years as well and everyone has been very happy.

I had my Dental filling appointment on Tuesday 10/25/2022. Hygienist was a wonderful person. Dr. Mira is wonderful and she has an excellent team. She took a lot of care in explaining to me all the details.

I have been a long time patient with Smileworld Dental, since 2001. Mira and her staff have been utmost professional, both in their skills and overall patient care. I have had a lot of treatment on my teeth before I came to Mira. Over the years she has diligently fixed earlier issues and set a consistent cleaning schedule. As a result I have not had any teeth related issues for a few years now. During the visits, the paperwork is taken care of and the whole process is extremely smooth. I appreciate the extra reminders for the dental appt as things get fuzzy after six months. And whenever needed, adjustments to the appointments was painless as well. Highly recommend Smileworld dental.

I always feel well taken care of at SmileWorld Family Dental. The receptionists are very welcoming, polite, and efficient. Dr. Mira Godiwala is wonderful. I have been a regular since 2017. The staff is top notch and the service is best.
