Dr. Ankur Mohindra (or Dr. Mo as everyone knows him) is a General and Cosmetic Dentist. Our patients benefit from his friendly and easy-going disposition. He is originally from Southern California, where he earned his undergraduate degree from UCLA in Psychobiology and Business Administration.
He then ventured to New York City where he graduated from esteemed the Ivy League School of Columbia University earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with Honors. He then returned home Southern California to practice dentistry and earned his dental license from the Dental Board of California.
After a few years working in a group practice in Orange County, Dr. Mo found the perfect fit for his skills at Smileworks. Specializing in the art of restorative and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Mo builds a comprehensive plan for each of his patients in order to get their oral health to where it should be to balance function and aesthetics.
Dr. Mo performs General and Cosmetic Dentistry, including composite fillings, porcelain veneers, crowns, bridges, root canals and orthodontics like Invisalign. Furthermore, he has gone through extensive training in CEREC Cad-Cam Dentistry, Sleep Apnea & Snoring treatment, and oral conscious sedation to comfort the dental phobic individuals.
Dr. Mo is a Platinum Circle Dentist and a member of American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), West Los Angeles Dental Society. He has completed over 1000 hours of Continuing Education.
Dr. Mo 's personal philosophy as a dentist matches Smileworks: 'To perform minimally invasive dentistry - that means we want to do as much as possible to preserve your natural teeth and give you the most comfortable experience possible in the dental chair.'
Dr. Razi performs general, cosmetic and implant dentistry. After receiving his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Biology from Cal State University, Northridge, Dr. Razi preceded to go to the prestigious New York University, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (D.D.S.). Subsequently, Dr. Razi received his dental license from the Northeast Regional Board and Western Regional Board, which allows him to practice dentistry in 40 American states.
He then completed post graduate program in general dentistry (GPR) at MLK/Harbor UCLA Medical Center with focus in dental implant placement and restoration. Under the supervision of world renowned dentist, researcher and professor, Dr. Arun Garg, he completed courses on Implant dentistry with Implant seminars. Dr. Razi have also undergone Implant seminars through Zimmer Dental institute.
Through Dr. Razis strong clinical and educational training and work experience he has developed the background that giving him the opportunity to treat complicated cases, including but not limited to full mouth rehabilitation/reconstruction. He performs Implant and General Cosmetic Dentistry, including composite fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals and Invisalign. Furthermore, he has gone through extensive training in oral conscious sedation to comfort the dental phobic individuals. Dr. Razi also continues to use oral conscious sedation with implant surgeries to provide further comfort and enhance his patients experience. Dr. Razi became a Fellow of American Dental Implant Association (ADIA) in 2011. Dr. Razi is an active member of International Congress Of Implantology (ICOI), Dental Organization for Oral Conscious Sedation (DOCS), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD),American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), Los Angeles Dental Society. He has completed over 500 hours of Continuing education.

I had a dental emergency and Dr. Mohindra and his staff were professional, compassionate, and gentle. I was very impressed with their COVID-19 protocols and ability to see me on short notice. My tooth is doing great and it is clear Dr. Mohindra is not only an exceptional dentist, but that he truly cares about his patients! I highly recommend Smileworks.

I went for general teeth checkup and I did couple of visit before I realized, some of the things were not needed and made more damage in long run to my teeth. Dr. Ankur Mohindra treated my teeth and suggest some unrequired filling in my teeth. I am not completely unsatisfied with the service because majorly I did was cleaning however for filling - they need to dig my teeth and fill it up. Why would I let them dig my teeth if its not required, after one unrequired filling I upfront said NO to second one as that area was again something which doctor can fix it permanently .The first one was the area he picked was partition between 2 tooth and now when I floss it anyway breaks the filling. If I don't do floss it will cause more damage. I suggest before they do anything more than cleaning just make sure you understands and cross question them.

I'm not one for posting reviews on much but, Dr. Moe and the smile works team are by far the best dental encounters I've ever had and I am not exactly the youngest chicken in the roost. The only reason I have not recommended all of my friends it's because they live hours away from the office, but I absolutely swear by this dental practice. I have never felt any pain or fear/anxiety at any time. The office is always spotless and well cared for, dr. Moe is very sociable even when the appointment is with a different hygienist, Front Desk workers are great, and Elaine is a complete rockstar who gets things done. Can you tell I love this place?

I work for Dr Mohindra , and I received my Invisalign trays yesterday. And I want to share my thoughts so far. My one tooth that I didn't like when I looked in the mirror. Was just what I had focused on my whole life the truth was my whole mouth needed to be rearranged. And I had no idea they were that bad. Before I received my trays I received a video showing how my teeth would move that shock to me ! Dr. and I went over The video he thought that just wasn't right and sent it back to be redone to bring my teeth a little closer together , it took about three weeks to process and get my trays. Dr Mo placed My attachments yesterday ( dots placed on teeth to help move them in the right direction). I have had them on overnight and expecting my teeth to be pretty sore this morning and they're not so I'm pleasantly surprised. I also want you to know I am a No spring chicken And I'm also a lab technician and know that bringing my teeth out to where they should be it's gonna make me look younger. The process so far has been really easy and really fun, Thanks to Dr Mohindra and Gabby

Dr. Saiki has been my dentist for awhile and he's been great wherever he is. At Smileworks, he continues to provide the excellent dental care one should expect and he's a nice guy. Julie, Dr. Saiki's right hand person, is great also with all the support that is needed for everything to go smoothly.

Dr. Mo is such a caring and wonderful dentist! All of his staff and hygienists are caring and helpful. I have had more work done this year on my teeth than all other years of my life combined. Speedy service and super friendly, professional, knowledgeable Doctors and team. Smile works team was able to accommodate us for a same day dental emergency. They were also very diligent in explaining the estimates for each procedure. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a dentist!

Have been going to Smileworks for over 20 years, they are great. Dr Mo and his staff are efficient and painless. My two Kidds who have now moved out and live over an hour away, drive the extra distance to have their teeth cleaned and checked.
