Dr. Mejiasis originally from Valencia, Venezuela where she obtained her degree inDoctor of Dental Surgery in 1999. After practicing in Venezuela for a number of years,she decided torelocated to Florida. Dr. Mejias was accepted in the University of Colorado in 2007 to get her degree validated in the United States, a program offeredto international students.

Great medical office! Dr. Karen Mejias and her Dental Assistant are incredible. They combine expertise and a willingness to listen and discuss. The rest of the staff is very friendly and professional. Appointment scheduling has always been easy and I've never had to wait more than a few minutes when I arrive on time for an appointment. I am so glad I chose Smileville Family Dental Center and would highly recommend to anyone.

I'm glad that Dr. Mejia is my dentist. She is an excellent, caring dentist. When I called about a dental emergency, she came in on here day off and fixed the problem. She takes time to answer my questions and does not try to charge for something I don't need. Thank you Dr. Mejia

Good dentist and staff however, why are they still wearing masks and not allowing the parents to go in with the children? We live in Florida and no longer are under a mask mandate.

Very disappointed with this place. Took my daughter for a cleaning appointment that was supposed to take 30 mnts. My daughter was back in the car in exactly 17 mnts and that included going in and out of the office, set up, X-Rays. She could not have been on the chair for more than 10-12 minutes. I have taken her for cleanings to a different provider in another city using the same insurance and the cleaning was very thorough. Extremely frustrating experience. We will not be coming back. Be careful.

Awful experience all around. As the son of a dentist, I really go easy on dentists, but this was a terrible experience for me and my entire family. Growing up with a father who was a dentist, I brush my teeth multiple times a day and I floss pretty consistently. I've never had a cavity in my life and all of a sudden, I was being told that I have 3. I've since gone to another dentist who says I have no cavities. I think the Dentist over as Smileville was looking to do a little drill-n-fill for new boat or something. Beyond that, the hygienist (Melanie) was digging in my gums like i hadn't brushed in a decade. It was pretty painful and when I told her so, she'd apologize and keep on doing exactly what she was doing. It was the most painful cleaning of my life and I tasted blood for hours after. She then broke off the fixed retainer on my daughter's lower teeth and tried to tell me it was like that before. I knew it wasn't because I gave my daughter a quick post-brush inspection before we left! Then we got excuses as to why they couldn't fix it correctly. Finally, they put it back on, but it fell off a couple days later and said, "we told you it might fall off because we don't use the same bonding material that orthodontists use." Really? Then pay for one of your ortho buddies to fix your mistake! I know they know at least a dozen orthodontists because I come from a family of dentists and orthodontists (all of whom are dead or retired now or else I would have gone to them). Awful awful awful experience. It was painful, they did more damage than good, and I think they were trying to do some fake fillings to make a few bucks (either that or she mistook the tiny spots of bonding on a couple of my teeth for cavities, but you'd think a decent dentist would know the difference). Drive another half block to the other dentist on Foggy Creek. They're a thousand times more professional, knowledgable, and technologically advanced. In my opinion, Smileville is like caveman dentistry run by a hack.

Consistently awesome customer service. We are a military family that has lived in many different cities across the U.S. Never any pressure to purchase some kind of whitening service, nor electric toothbrush. Highly recommend Smileville for your whole family. Courteous, professional, and genuinely care :)

I have been visiting Smileville Family dental for more than 6 years now. Everytime I get premium service. All the staff members are great. They do stand by the word "family" and make you feel very comfortable. Dr. Mejias is very professional and knowledgeable. Also, they are always on time unlike other medical practices. Both of my kids love going to the dentist.
