Dr.Christina Do has been with us now for ten years and she is a graduate of Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Throughout her dental career, she has had the honor of practicing with some of the leading laser professionals in the world. Dr. Cary Dunne practiced dentistry in Toledo, Ohio for 30 years after graduating from the Ohio State University School of Dentistry. He joined our office at Smiles4oc in 2011. Dr. Dunne feels very fortunate to have the opportunity to practice with Dr. Rolfes and Dr. Do in Costa Mesa.

Dr. Christina Do is a graduate of Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. She is a native Californian, born and raised in the OC. Throughout her dental career she has had the honor of practicing with some of the leading laser professionals in the world. Her perseverance in mastering dental laser technology gives her the opportunity to lecture worldwide to other dentists on the applications of laser dentistry. She is a lecturer and researcher for the leading dental laser company, Biolase. She is also on the executive board of the Coleman Research Group which connects medical investors with experts in the field of dentistry.
Dentistry has been a passion of Dr. Do since her college days at UCSD. She was inspired by a homeless woman who had no access to dental care. From that point forward, Dr. Do knew that she had a calling to perform dentistry to the under privileged in her community and to citizens of other countries. Since 2000, she has served in various countries including Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Guatemala, Honduras, Papua New Guinea, and Haiti.
Dr. Do has created her own animated childrens educational DVD. Her Toothtales DVD has received numerous accolades and now has 3 episodes and counting. Dr. Do has been featured numerous times on the Emmy award winning show The Doctors performing various dental procedures. Currently, she has dental commercials on air and hopes to continue to reach out to the community through various media aspects. Her exceptional skills in laser dentistry has her featured on PBS American Health Journal, laser educational videos, published journal articles, multiple dental magazines, and actively sought out for dental treatments by patients. Dr. Do is an active member of the ADA, CDA, OCDS, WCLI, and the AAPD.
In her spare time, Dr. Do enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, exercising, and arts and crafts. She tops off her lifes joy by spoiling her dog Daisy, and doing whatever it takes to someday see her on the cover of Pet Monthly.
Tim Rolfes earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at the University of Southern California in 2012. After spending the next year working as a full time intern at Smiles4OC, Tim returned to the University of Southern Californias Ostrow School of Dentistry where he earned his DDS degree (Doctor of Dental Surgery). During his four years at USC Dental, Tim found a passion in community dentistry. He had the opportunity to volunteer and provide dental care to underserved communities in the Philippines, Belize, and Cambodia through the Dental Humanitarian Outreach Program. He is also a core member of the USC Mobile Clinic, which provides dentistry to rural communities with limited or no access to dental care, throughout all of California. He regularly volunteers at the JWCH Institute and provides dental care to the predominantly homeless population on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles. Tim has now joined the Smiles4OC team as a licensed dentist and is excited to be practicing full time and furthering his passion for dentistry.
Probably, I went through 3/4th of my 3rd year in college, and I really decided this is what I wanted to try and do. So I applied to dental school and I got in and now Im here. Im really happy that it worked this way.
As far as joining the practice it has been a great experience. Everyone that worked here is really experienced and they all help me so much, I have learned so much since I have been here, and it made my transition really easy from dental school into dentistry.
