Dr. Danna completed her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M in 1998 after graduating from La Grange High School in 1995. Following college, she attended dental school at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, graduating with Research Honors in 2003.
In Denver, Dr. Danna had the opportunity to treat children with some of the rarest conditions in the world. She served as Chief Resident and has been awarded the prestigious honor of Board Certification in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Danna is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD) and a Fellow of The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD). Dr. Danna has been chosen by the ABPD to serve on their examination committee.
Dr. Danna is a member of ABPD, AAPD, Southwestern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and Capital Area Dental Society.
In addition to holding credentials at local hospitals, Dr. Danna holds a conscious sedation permit which allows treatment of apprehensive children that need more help than traditional techniques. She has also served for three years on the AmericanBoard of Pediatric Dentistry's Examination Committee to assist in writing exam questions for pediatric dentists renewing their credentials.
Dr. Danna is married to her high school sweetheart Chris and they have two children. In her spare time, she enjoys tons of outdoor activities. Dr. Danna is certified by U.S. Sailing as a captain and has competed in marathon and Ironman events.
Dr. Adam studied Biology and finished his undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia (2006). He completed both dental school (2011) and his pediatric residency at Georgia Health Sciences University.
During his pediatric training, he worked at the nationally recognized Children's Hospital of Atlanta as well as Children's Medical Center at Augusta, Georgia. This training gives Dr. Adam a strong foundation in handling the most complex cases.
He maintains his certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and has a Level 2 Moderate Enteral Conscious Sedation Permit which allows treatment of apprehensive children that need more help than traditional techniques. He has been awarded the prestigious honor of Board Certification in Pediatric Dentistry and is a Diplomate of The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Adam is a member of The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, The Southwestern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, The Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, The American Dental Association, The Texas Dental Association, and The Capital Area Dental Society.
As an Eagle Scout, Dr. Adam shares a love of the outdoors. One thing we find very interesting is hearing about his time in Thailand where he spent a couple of years. Feel free to converse with him in Thai about his favorite things to do in life.
Dr. Jim received both his undergraduate (2002) and Dental degree (2006) from The Ohio State University. After spending a couple of years in private practice he decided his future focus should be on children.
He received pediatric specialty training at The Women's & Children's Hospital in Buffalo, New York. The Women's & Children's Hospital is affiliated with the University of Buffalo. He served as Chief Resident and has been awarded the prestigious honor of Board Certification in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Jim is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
As a member of the Ohio State Men's Crew Dr. Jim competed in college athletics. Dr. Jim continues to enjoy rowing and once had the opportunity to row with the La Socit Nautique de Monaco rowing club on the Mediterranean Sea.
Dr. Jim is no stranger to great experiences and travel. At 18 Dr. Jim spent one month backpacking across Europe seeing the beautiful cities of London, Paris, Nice, Monaco, Florence, Munich, Vienna, and Geneva. He has since been back to Europe several times as well as many other countries in the exciting world we live in.

After having a bad experience with a dentist in Austin I was a little worried to find a new dentist but I'm so happy I found Smiles University! My son now loves going to the dentist and he's always excited for his next visit. Not to mention they don't do unnecessary procedures. My son's previous dentist said he would have to be put under general anesthesia for them to put a crown. At Smiles they were able to numb the area and get it done without him even noticing what was going on. We were in and out in 30 minutes! The staff is super welcoming and helpful when it comes to questions or concerns. I cannot recommend them enough!

We started bringing our children to Smiles University after my son had some tooth issues and we've never left they are so personable and so my kids love them I have three boys and they love them very much they're gentle they have good TV while they're in there they have video games they just really like it I wouldn't take my kids anywhere else

My wife and I have been bringing our daughter to Smiles U since she was a toddler. She is now 11. I recommend Smiles U to anyone with children in the Bastrop area. The staff is great and Dr. Adam is honest about what procedures need done and the costs. Affordable and kind staff.

Let me just put this out here before anyone reads the rest. I have been in the dental profession for 14+ years and have observed/ worked with more dental providers than I can count. So it's not easy for me to just trust anyone on my childrens teeth. I've been bringing my children to this office since the month it opened years ago. Let me start by saying Dr.Dana has ran an amazing business since the day it opened. I will never forget the time she went out of her way to Austin to buy my daughter a huge Hello kitty stuffed animal because of the anxiety my little girl was in being at a dental office. Dr. Dana along with Dr Jim and Adam are very knowledgeable, have great bedside manner, very caring when it comes to working on your little ones and just go above and beyond what any dental office should have to. They do only necessary treatment needed, while giving good advice on hygiene and home care. I also like to applaud the fact that her team has been very consistent, which just shows me Dr.Dana knows how to treat her team! This office has nothing but the best people working there. I couldn't imagine my kids ever going to any other pediatric office. This place has never disappointed. #BESTOFBASTROP

I was absolutely blown away at how much my son was really coming out of his shell and was very tolerant and understanding of what needed to be done compared to his other visits. We will be making Smile University and Dr. Adam our dentist from now on.
