Dr. Roy Northcutt, DMDRoy graduated from Southern Illinois University School of DentalMedicine in Alton, IL in 1996.He acquired Smiles Plus Dental Care in Gillespie, IL in 2001 which he then sold in March 2022 to Dr. Nicolas Kravanya of Kravanya | Boente Family Dentistry of Carlinville, IL. Inlate 2007, Roy purchased Buffalo Prairie Dental Care of Pittsfield, IL. (In October 2013, Buffalo Prairie Dental Care assumed the new corporatename, Smiles Plus Dental Careof Pittsfield.) He has had advanced training and continuing education with Invisalign, dental implants, orthodontics and is a member of the American Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Association and Chicago Dental Association.

Roy has been married to Camie for over 30 years and they have two adult children, Brenden and Grace. They currently reside in Edwardsville, IL. Outside the office, he enjoys riding hismotorcycle, hunting, disc golfing, fishing, snow skiing and all other activities that take him outdoors.

Vanessa, RDHVanessa graduated from Lake Land College. She joined Smiles Plus Dental Care in 2007 and has been working primarily in our Pittsfield office since 2013 as our dental hygienist. Vanessa lives in Brighton, IL. She enjoys being outdoors and sharing her time with her family and friends.

LauraLaura has been with Smiles Plus since 1987.She was born and raised in Hillsboro, IL and has lived in Gillespie with her husband, Phil, for 40 years. She has two grown children, Deanna and Phillip, and three wonderful grandchildren. Outside of work, Laura is active in her church, involved with Royal Family Kids and spends the majority of her time with her family and friends.

JeanJean joined Smiles Plus Dental Care in 1987. Jean has the unique ability to work in many different roles within our front office and clinical area of our dental practice. She resides in Mt. Olive with her husband, Gary. Together, they have three adult children, Angie, Todd and Dana and six grandchildren. In her spare time, Jean enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

GayeGaye is a Gillespie native and has been a familiar face greeting patients at Smiles Plus Dental Care in Gillespie since 1989. She currently lives in Gillespie with husband, Charlie. Together, they have three adult children, Billeigh, Samantha and Kimberly. Outside the office, Gaye enjoys spending her time with her family and five active and beautiful grandchildren.

KathyKathy joined our Pittsfield dental team in 2018. While she is originally from Pleasant Hill, Kathy spent nearly 20 years working in Alabama as a radiation therapist before returning to the Pike County area. When Kathy is not at our office greeting patients, answering your calls and text messages; you will find her in her next favorite place -- a cemetery. Kathy is one of just a few individuals trained and licensed in the state of Illinois to repair grave stones. She also enjoys genealogical research and researching Pike County history.
