My crown fell out 2 days after it was put in. They always came at me with a laundry list of things that would require thousands of dollars, loans, etc.....this place, dr. Baines, she ran up a bunch of fake problems....never will I ever return....this place I should have sued.

I will agree with Karina. This place is a scam. Worse experience ever after going thru my procedure 3 weeks ago and still being in pain I went and got a second opinion. The second dentist offered me some question to ask my dentist Dr. Braithwaite.when asking such questions I noticed Dr Braithwaite was getting frustrated which led to me being kicked out of his dentist office with $5,000 of paid unfinished work..avoid this place.. It's bad very greedy..

RUN, STAY CLEAR! they are scamming many. my friends just got screwed there. wrong procedure done, and also not finished. my friends got screwed out of all their care credits and health insurance there for this procedure. Here's what she had to say bout her experience: ""The dental professionals there are nice but we were duped. We were told one thing while discussing treatment/cost while my husband was in the chair. We filled out an application for care credit to cover what we thought was the TOTAL of his treatment *minus the 4 wisdom teeth extractions* but low & behold, After 1 root canal,1 crown& 1 filling we had maxed out. (Leaving to be done: another root canal& couple more filings, one of which was a visible tooth with a hole on the outside of the tooth that was what we were TOLD was part of that treatment plan) While I did talk to 2 different people about what they call a "misunderstanding" nothing was resolved! Bottom line is we were told one thing & got something else.. an unfinished mouth. To add insult to injury, while they did apologize they kept saying "it's in black& white" yea, well how did everything change from the chair to the front desk to the approval of care credit. When we signed we thought what was being presented was the 1st step in his care plan...not the ONLY step that was going to be covered. For 4,000 my husband could of gotten a full set of dentures instead of being slowly bled to death financial & having only a quarter of his mouth fixed. I'm EXTREMELY disappointed because the hygienist & dentist were great, kind& comforting but the person handling the communication of cost & what was ACTUALLY GOING TO BE COVERED was a terrible & sneaky experience.""

I had four fillings put in my teeth. One tooth simply hurt like hell, once the novocane wore off. I called their office later that day, to explain the problem that I was having. One of the nurses explained to me, that one of the fillings didn't set up right, and that it needed to be leveled or adjusted. Unfortunately, this wasn't considered emergency enough, and couldn't get in for two days. I asked them, if they could write a prescription to "take the edge off," until they could see me. First of all, they said yes. Then, after the lady put me on hold to verify this, she said that the dentist could not write a prescription. I finally was able to see another dentist the next day, who quickly fixed the problem. Yes indeed, that little ole filling that only took 6 minutes to fix, was as good as gold!! But then again, one should ask themselves... Why didn't any of the staff, inform me of the possible problems that could await me beforehand? After all, they were quick to diagnose the problem over the phone, but not so terribly quick to remedy it. ...I still have a problem with this one!!

Staff was friendly and service was fine. Went in for a cleaning and didn't really appreciate the up-sale attempts (for example a mouth cancer check). Frankly, if it's something that they're truly concerned about, I'm sure they can wave the UV wand around in my mouth for 2 seconds for free. Came out with advanced periodontal disease and a second appointment; probably deserved since I haven't been to the dentist in a while. My real grip is the billing process; I was told that my bill would be 'X' and that insurance covered 'Y' and therefore I have to pay 'X-Y = Z'. I paid my portion only to receive an additional bill for ~$100 several months after my procedure. A talk with their billing office amounted to, "Well the insurance company will only pay fair and acceptable costs." So I can't figure out if their simply charging more than other dentists in the area or they purposely misreported the insurance contribution to the overall bill. It's a sad day when the billing office can't even get the numbers right with the insurance.

Poor. The hygienist cut my mouth with the drill. When I went to cancel my next appointment the secretary was confrontational and stated that I was punishing them. I explained I did not feel comfortable due to the drill in the lip incident and she stated it was just a mistake and she doubts that I am perferct

I have been a patient of Colleen's for 13 years. I have followed her from Kokomo to Grissom and now to Lafayette. I have seen a few dentists in my time and never found one that would actually take the time to explain the whole situation and tell you the good and bad when it comes to any procedure. I will continue to see Dr Baines until she decides to retire but even then I'll still track her down if I have a problem. Thanks for all you have done to make each and every visit as comfortable as possible for me and my whole family.

I went in to see Dr. Braithwaite after not being able to visit a dentist for a couple of years. I knew I had some cavities on one side, so they filled those two and pulled a wisdom tooth that was really sensitive. Dr Braithwaite really seemed to care about my health. He and his staff explained everything well.

This was by far the most thorough exam I've ever had at any dentist. At other offices I have had a couple x-rays taken and the dentist looked at my teeth and that was it, but here they checked my gums around each tooth with special instruments, took a couple different kinds of x-rays, and they used some instruments to check to see how susceptible each of my teeth were to decay. Then when Dr. Braithwaite came in he examined my teeth and informed me that I had a couple cavities and actually showed me where they were on my x-rays. I had never had a cavity up to this point, so I didn't know what to expect, but Dr. Braithwaite was very gentle and walked me through what was going to be done, and I experienced no pain throughout the whole process of getting the cavities filled, and after they were filled I couldn't even tell that anything had been done to my teeth. They felt just like new. Overall the staff was very friendly, and Dr. Braithwaite and the hygienists did an outstanding job of making me feel comfortable during my appointment, and I left feeling very confident that I had received excellent care.
