Dr. Silvia Menendez has been practicing orthodontics for over a decade. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Texas Dental Association, and is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Menendez was born and raised in Lima, Peru. She graduated from dental school in 1997 from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia and pursued a Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics and Masters degree from the same institution graduating in 2002.. Dr. Menendez came to the United States and earned both a Masters degree and a Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Oklahoma in 2004. She then completed a fellowship program in Surgical and Craniofacial Orthodontics at Indiana University in 2005.
Dr. Menendez loves the outdoors, dancing, traveling, and spending time with her son, Rafael. You might see her and Rafa out and about walking their dogs, Fluffy and Penny, or soaking up some sun on the hiking trails.

Smiles Orthodontics is great! Dr. Menendez and her staff are amazing, nice and always welcoming. Wait time is very minimal, I would be in and out within 15-20 minutes unless I knew I was going to be there longer which the staff made me aware of. Truly the best experience I have ever had with my orthodontic treatment. They were very efficient with my treatment plan. I just got my braces off and I am very pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend Smiles Orthodontics to anyone!

The best orthodontist and staff I have ever came across. They make you feel like part of the family. Very patient with busy work and school schedules. I can't imagine going to any other office. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Office is clean, check in system is flawless, online payments are quick and easy and reminders are given for every appointment. Update: My daughter got her braces off and we are in awe of the changes! She is beaming ear-to-ear. Thank you so much to Dr. Melendez and staff for their kindness!
