During his training, Dr. Patel received extensive training in implant reconstruction, aesthetics/cosmetics, crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, complete and removable partial dentures, TMD jaw joint problems, traumatic injuries to teeth and supporting structures, snoring and sleep disorders, post-cancer reconstruction, and continuing care. Prosthodontists are masters of reconstruction.
He is a volunteer dentist at The Ben Massell Clinic in Atlanta, which serves nearly 6,000 patients annually by providing them with vital oral health care. He also teaches dental students on rotation from Medical College of Georgia and is actively involved in teaching and research and receives referrals from practicing dentists across the state.
Dr. Patel serves as editor for the Georgia Dental Association. Hes involved with the Fellowship of American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists an honor reserved for the top 1% of dentists for their service to the dental profession and their community.
Dr. Patel also serves as a manuscript reviewer for the Journal of Prosthodontics, a premier professional, peer-reviewed journal published by the American College of Prosthodontics. He resides in Marietta with his wife and two daughters.
Prosthodontics is the area of dental medicine specializing in reconstruction. This includes implants, cosmetic dentistry, crowns, and much more! Prosthodontics training takes an additional two or three years to complete after dental school. Dr. Patel is recognized by the American Dental Association for his expertise in prosthodontics.

I am so satisfied with the miraculous dental treatment and reconstruction of my entire mouth! My smile has been restored, along with my quality of life. Dr Kumar Patel is not only skilled but I personally call him the " Tooth Whisperer". I am seriously afraid of Dentist and he not only assessed what needed to be done, but also explained step by step how he was going to restore my entire mouth. The work was intricate and I promise the pain was MINIMAL! GREAT TECHNIQUE & Skill!!! I recommend Dr Patel and his team 10 out of 10 times!!! His Office Manager Andrea is a Gem, she and all of the technicians know exactly what to do to make your visits the best ever. Seriously, Dr Kumar Patel is the Dentist for you!!! Oh did I mention how extremely clean the entire office is!!! Yup, I am Proud to say he is my dentist, I smile so much now

It was not a perfect process but I give Dr. Patel a 5 star because he came up with a solution to have a semi-permanent bridge attached to my implants that DIDN'T require ANOTHER tissue grafting, something my oral surgeon was uncomfortable doing. That extra surgery would have been expensive and COULD have caused damage from infection. The benefit of Dr. Patel sitting in on oral surgeries which is something I don't think other dentists in his field ever do. The area with the implants was a repair of missing bone that was TWICE as large as is recommended for a hip bone graft so care had to be taken to ensure the bone survived with adequate tissue to protect the new bone. After several years the tissue is still fine and hasn't needed another graft. He has been very pleased with the durability of the bridge and implants. He and, especially his wife, are really nice. As a bonus, he was the most affordable of my options and, to date, my bridge has not needed repairs. It may have been 5 years already. That's impressive!
