Dr. Anjana Gupta has wanted to be a dentist since she was 5 years old and feels incredibly lucky to share her profession and life with her amazing staff and loyal patients. Smiles on Niles is truly a dream come true, and she hopes her passion for dentistry is infectious. Dr. G joined the existing practice of Dr. Lisa McShane in June 2011 and became practice owner in 2017. Dr. G took complete ownership of the practice in 2020 (during a global pandemic!). She received her B.S. in biology at Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!) and earned her D.D.S. from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2007. Dr. Gupta is a long-standing member of the American Dental Society, Michigan Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, Chicago Dental Association, and local Lakeland Valley Dental Association.

Dr. G was born and raised in Elkhart, Indiana. She resides here in St. Joe with her husband, Seth Brown, her daughter Alice and her son Andre. Dr. Gupta enjoys the beautiful Lake Michigan beaches in the summertime, playing tennis, pretending to be a foodie, traveling, and most of all spending time with friends and family.

Coreen graduated from the Ferris State University Dental Hygiene Program in 1989 and is certified in local anesthesia administration in the State of Michigan. Coreen has worked with Dr. McShane since 2007 and Dr. Gupta since 2011. Coreen has been constantwithin the walls of 2800 Niles. Dr. Gupta says one of Coreen 's best qualities is her ability to make people feel comfortable when coming to the dentist may be fearful for them. 'She puts them right at ease.'

Kindra graduated from the Kalamazoo Valley Community College Dental Hygiene Program in 1996 and is certified in local anesthesia administration in the State of Michigan. Kindra has worked with Dr. McShane since 2000 and Dr. Gupta since 2011. Dr. Gupta says one of Kindra's best qualities is her ability to make people laugh. Kindra has a laugh that is contagious, and we all love hearing it throughout the day!

Dr. Soo Sim joined Dr. McShane and Dr. Gupta as a part-time associate dentist in March 2019. She was born and raised in northwest Indiana and attended Indiana University, where she received her degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Sim then attended Indiana University School of Dentistry and graduated alongside Dr. Gupta in 2007. Dr. Sim and and Dr. Gupta have been best friend since meeting their very first day of dental school, and working together is a bit of a dream come true. She currently resides in Chicago and travels to St. Joe to practice. She enjoys trying different restaurants, running along the lake, and going to concerts. Dr. Sim enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends (especially Alice!) and she is very excited about bringing her passion for dentistry to St. Joe!

Jennifer graduated from the Kalamazoo Valley Community College Dental Hygiene Program in 1996 and has been certified in local anesthesia administration in the State of Michigan since 2004. Jennifer has worked with Dr. McShane since 1997 and Dr. Gupta since 2011. Dr. Gupta says one of Jennifer's best qualities is her sweetness. You won't meet a nicer person! You are in good hands with Jennifer.

Jennifer lives in Berrien Springs with her two sweet and sassy daughters. Jennifer enjoys spending time with family, going to concerts (with Kindra, haha), attending her kids sporting events, and gardening.

Becky is our newest team member at Smiles on Niles as a registered dental hygienist, joining us in September 2021. Becky graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene, with a certification in local anesthetic.

Becky is a native to St. Joseph. She moved away in her 20's, but returned to this beautiful area to be closer to family. After moving back, Becky and her husband have welcomed two children. She loves traveling, walking the beach, and spending time with her family. Dr. Gupta knows her sweet personality will make the patients feel right as ease.

Corin graduated from the Lake Michigan College Dental Assisting Program in 2004. Corin has worked with Dr. McShane since 2010 and Dr. Guptasince 2011. Corin is a registered dental assistant (RDA) and also a 'jack of all trades.' Corin has been Dr. Gupta 's right hand woman for years now. Corin 's chair-side manner and knowledge of dentistry is second to none.

Corin grew up in Stevensville but considers Berrien Springs her hometown. She and her husband, Colin, have three incredible children. Corin stays busy with her kids activities and loves every second of it. She enjoys sitting on her patio, going to the Mark III with her family, and spending quality time together.

Mandy, although the newestface to Smiles on Niles, makes us all feel like she's been part of this team for many years. Mandyjoined our office in 2017. She had the experience as a chair-side assistant that our busy office needed. Mandy is great at making a personal connection with the patients; so much, they forget they are at the dentist!

Mandy was born and raised outside of Kalamazoo, played collegiatevolleyball, and moved to South Haven in 2016. Mandyrescued her new puppy and love of her life, Haven, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Along with being a dog lover, Mandy loves getting out on the boat and watching our gorgeous Lake Michigan sunsets. If you go to SouthHaven, Mandy will be the welcome wagon with a drink inhand!

Dawn is one of the first faces to welcome you to our office. Dawn is not only a fantastic receptionist, she is the office manager. She has worked with Dr. McShane since 1993, Dr. Gupta since 2011, and has been in the field of dentistry for over 30 years. Dawn keeps the office running smoothly, is our 'go-to' person regarding scheduling and insurance, and is basically the captain of this dental ship! Dawn started her career in dentistry with chair-side experience, and it has evolved into a life-long education in anything dentistry-related. Dawn will greet you with a smile whether it 's when you come in the door at Smiles on Niles or pass her in the aisle at Meijer. She never forgets a face!

Beth was born and raised in St. Joseph and began working in dental administration in 2001. Beth attended Western Michigan University and earned her bachelors degree focused on human sciences in 2008. Beth served her local community for the following 10 years in the social work field before joining the Smiles on Niles team in 2021.

Beth married her best friend, Paul, in 2017 and they have been exploring life together ever since. Beth enjoys traveling with her husband, giving back to her community, gardening, concerts, and spending time with family and friends. When Beth isnt taking in all that SW MI has to offer, you can find her in her favorite vacation spot, the Smoky Mountains of TN.
