At our Northwest Indiana dental offices, we strive to pamper you, to make you feel cared for and relaxed. Many patients walk out in a much calmer mood than when they entered, and we like to think it is because of the friendly and cheerful team, but we also know it might have to do with some of the amenities we offer. It is not just a dental visit; it is an experience.
Kerstan has been with our team since October 2019 and has since been ensuring our patients receive the best care we have to offer. She is passionate about her ability to create a safe and friendly atmosphere while greeting every patient with a smile. She completed a dental assisting training course with DATS of Northwest Indiana at Smiles by Dr. D in December 2018. She holds her license in radiology and is eager to further her education as an expanded functions dental assistant in the future.
Kerstan is from a small town in rural Newton county and enjoys riding her Harley Davidson, spending time with her boyfriend, girls days with her mom and sister, and cuddling on the couch with her dog.
Dr. Jenna Kirk holds herself to a high standard of excellence and is dedicated to providing care that exceeds expectations. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame in 2005, graduating magna cum laude, and her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Indiana University in 2008 with high distinction. She graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry magna cum laude in 2012, where she was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Kirk served in the United States Navy Dental Corps from 2012 to 2016, providing dental care to Sailors and Marines in Pensacola, FL, and San Diego, CA. She has also participated in dental missions serving underprivileged patients in Mexico, Belize, the Philippines, and Botswana. Following her time in private practices in Connecticut and North Carolina, she decided to return to her home state and join Smiles of Valparaiso.
Originally from Indianapolis, Dr. Kirk lives in Ogden Dunes with her husband Michael and their daughter Teagan. When she is away from the office, she enjoys running, hiking, traveling, and cheering for the Fighting Irish.

I've been coming to Smiles for many years, even though I'm not in network! The entire staff is so friendly and helpful. Angie and Dr. Jenna are fantastic. They are thorough and efficient, and have always treated me like a friend rather than a number. I'm happy to make the 30 minute drive to see them!

Smiles gave me the opportunity to fill out paperwork ahead of time which got me into the seat quickly and on time. The hygienist was professional and personable as was Dr. Jenna - the dentist. It was as good an experience as a trip to the dentist can be, I think.

I was terrified of the dentist. I couldn't even get my teeth cleaned without sobbing. The associates of Smiles of Valparaiso make the experience so comfortable and never dismiss your fears. The staff is far above the rest. They go above and beyond for their patients. I called on a Sunday afternoon as an emergency and the Dr called us back got us a prescription and a time to come in the next day. They are not in my insurance network but they are worth it! Top notch care!!!

I was extremely nervous about coming to Smiles. I had a bad experience at a different dental office, (the doc was mean to me and made me cry)...I expressed my concerns with the front desk girls, they were sympathetic and comforting. Upon entering the girls were very bubbly and fun. I was brought back and the docs assistant was so relatable. We bonded and shed some tears. I went through some depressive episodes and just...neglected my teeth. Now I am trying to save my teeth and get back to liking my smile again. Dr Foster was amazing. Very nice and good bed side manner. (He didn't make me cry) he talked to me like he talked to his own family members. He was optimistic but made sure I understood the different possibilities. We have a penciled in treatment plan and I finally feel well taken care of and appreciated. The whole staff made me feel, like a human being. I definitely recommend Smiles to everyone I meet now. I honestly can not wait to go back to see them. Even though it might be painful to my mouth and pocket, at least they are there to hold my hand and work with me.

THIS IS THE OFFICE TO COME FOR EXTREMELY EXCEPTIONAL DENTAL CARE!!! I received caring special attention yesterday during my visit as a new patient! All of the staff are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable! Plus, their equipment is state of the art! I experienced no pain during my cleaning, exrays, and exam, a huge issue for nervous people! Natalie caused me to feel relaxed and comfortable, Dr. Scott did the same! Truly a pleasant experience all around!

My first time here and I had a wonderful great experience. Dr. Foster, his assistant & Lauren are absolutely amazing people to meet. They listen to my long history lol of concerns. Friendly professional environment. I would highly recommend Smiles of Valparaiso. They went the extra mile and very attentive. I'm glad I came here & I'm excited about my new treatment plan & can't wait to see them again! Thank you for all you guys do. You Rock!!
