Smiles of the Hudson Valley Dentistry offers our dental services to patients of all ages. When you stop in for dental work, we want your visit to be as convenient as possible. We do everything we can to make this a stress-free time. We have two locations: one in Highland, NY and one in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Our main priority is to provide quality care. We specialize in family dentistry services and cosmetic dentistry services. If you have any questions about maintaining your oral hygiene, dentistry for kids, or any of our cosmetic dental services, we are available to talk with you and answer all the questions you might have.
Dr. Lina Angiolillo was raised in The Bronx, obtained her bachelor degrees in biochemistry and theatre arts and continued her Doctorate degree from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. She moved into the Hudson Valley area more ten years ago and completed a post-graduate residency at Castle Point V.A. Hospital before joining the family practice. She is proud to practice family and cosmetic general dentistry at Smiles of the Hudson Valley along with a skillful and talented team.
Dr. Angiolillo's passion has always been helping the community and educating people in wellness and health either through dentistry, volunteerism or fitness. She is interested in all aspects of dentistry and enjoys providing personable, positive and quality care and experiences to all ages of patients. Dr. Angiolillo is currently an active board member and was the president (2016-2017) of the Dutchess County Dental Society. She enjoys the opportunities to further her dental education through continuing education courses.
Dr. Mark Angiolillo grew up locally in Dutchess County. After earning his undergraduate at SUNY Albany and completing his D.D.S. at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, he returned to the Hudson Valley to practice dentistry and continues to enjoy everything the area has to offer with his wife, two children, and three dogs.
He practices in Poughkeepsie and Highland at Smiles of the Hudson Valley Dentistry. He provides care to patients of all ages and is committed to providing the best in dental care. Whether its just a cleaning and check-up, or more detailed treatment or cosmetic desires, theres always room to join the family!
Kimberly was born and raised in Gainesville Florida. She went to school at Santa Fe College graduating as a Dental Assistant in 2010 and worked at a pediatric office for a year and continued her education and graduated from in Dental Hygiene school. She moved to New York during the summer of 2014 and started working for the Angiolillo family shortly afterward in September 2014.
She and her husband Alex enjoy living in the beautiful Hudson Valley with all of the outdoor activities. They enjoy hiking in the mountains and riding their bikes on The Walkway Over the Hudson Bridge.
Loretta is a born- native to the Hudson Valley. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene at Northeastern University. She has practiced in NYC before joining Smiles of the Hudson Valley Family Dentistry 9 years ago.
Loretta loves living in the Hudson Valley with her husband and their two children. She enjoys getting to know her patients individually and providing them with a pleasant dental care experience. She values her time treating her patients and their family.
She loves spending time with her husband, two children, and dog living in Highland. When not working, you can usually find her on any given sports field with her busy kids cheering them on. Besides that, she enjoys hiking, camping, and caring for her patients no matter what age they are!
Cathy has worked with the Dr. Mark and Lina Angiolillo for over 10 years. From dental assisting to administrative work, she will greet and care patients with her warm smiles and personable experiences. She enjoys spending times with her family and doing crafts, gardening, sewing, and machine embroidering.
Brittney grew up in the Hudson Valley and completed her dental assisting training at the Dental Auxiliary Training Center in 2017. She enjoyed starting out her career with Smiles of the Hudson Valley Family Dentistry and continued to learn and dedicate herself to patient care along the team at Smiles of the Hudson Valley Family Dentistry. The experience has been rewarding by providing a calm atmosphere and getting to know patients on a more personal level.
Nikki grew up in Beacon, NY and graduated from Dutchess Community College with a Certificate of Dental Assisting in 2008. She then went on to complete the Dental Assisting National Boards for Radiology, Infection Control and Chairside Assisting. She has been with the practice from dental assisting to administrative work for 9 years and enjoys working with Smiles of the Hudson Valley team and caring for their patients and family!
Amanda was raised in Lagrange NY, graduated in 2004 at Arlington High School and continued her education at Dutchess Community college and graduated from Ridley Lowell Business Tech in 2015. She has been working in the dental field since 2012 and began working for Dr. Angiolillo in 2015.
Amanda finds her role to be challenging, rewarding and is learning something new every day. She prides herself on helping our patients understand any billing or insurance questions. She currently lives locally with her husband, young daughter and their loving dog. Amanda enjoys being outside and spending time with her family and friends.
Melissa was born and raised in the Hudson Valley, lived to NYC for a few years before moving to California for 7 years. Being homesick, she decided to move back to the area in 2009 and started her career in dentistry. Melissa has been a New York State Licensed and DANB Certified Dental Assistant since 2012 and joined Smiles of the Hudson Valley Family Dentistry in 2015.
It has been rewarding with Melissa helping people in dentistry. Whether it is calming their fears, being a friend or a shoulder to cry on, getting to know the patients is her favorite thing about working as an assistant. The bonus is watching people walk away with beautiful smiling faces. Melissa lives and enjoys spending time in Wallkill with her son and their German Shepherd puppy.

Be prepared to pay a lot. They legally charge your ppo insurance and still get a healthy copay. Lena and Mark are ok.

Absolutely the best experience I have ever had seeing a dentist!! Dr. Lena is awesome and her staff is professional, courteous and empathetic. I have given her name to many of my friends. Dr. Lena has given me my confidence back, has me smiling again! Never thought that would happen! 5 stars is not enough!!

Any time I have gone to this office I have always had a great experience all around. The staff are professional, and always make me feel calm and comfortable, as I am one that gets very anxious when going to the dentist. Their Poughkeepsie office is just as great. I have never had a bad experience, and I would recommend both offices to anyone.

These people are fantastic. I am so happy I found them after a terrible experience at Aspen Dental in Poughkeepsie. (Do a google search on Aspen and you'll see what I mean). SotHVD love what they do and they love their patients and it shows. Their hygienists love working for the dentists there also; I know because they've told me. It's a family practice that treats their patients and employees like family. Dr Lena is my dentist and she's wonderful, but I've been treated by two other dentists there- her husband and her brother-in-law for fillings and they have been as great as Dr Lena.

Donna, the secretary, has told me she"takes great pride" and "works very hard at" being a b%^}*. This is very clear and blatant. She is unbelievably rude and short. All I wanted to know was how much the exam would cost before going in (I've had to deal with crazy fees before with them) and yet she seemed to have a problem with that. Apparently the customer is on a need-to-know basis. I will never be going back to Hot Smiles and I encourage all others to avoid.

I thought I was the only one with billing issues! But the problem isn't just the billing, its the lack of response you get when there is an issue. I have attempted to correct my bill at least 15 times, I finally gave up, wrote a letter and stopped going there. I never received a response to my letter, but they keep sending me an incorrect bill. I am currently writing my second letter. They have no idea why they are billing me what they are, nobody there can explain it, and they wont (cant) figure it out, so they just lose three customers in one shot over an issue on their end. The dentists are wonderful but not worth the headache of the billing. I miss Dr Lena but I'm not paying a bill I do not owe.

Went there and was told the trip would cost $400. The day of, they said $850. Then they improperly billed insurance and now they want an additional $850. Insurance said they cannot help. Multiple calls have either gone completely unanswered or I get the generic reply of "your file is on the top of the pile for the billing person to take a look at to see if we can help with the cost." They have been dodging my calls for over a year and I get a bill every month saying I need to pay. Every month I call and get told it is on the "top of the pile". Called again today and was told that no one looked into it, no one was going to look into it, and that I am out of luck. Dentists are great, the billing after has been a disaster. I would avoid for anything other than a basic cleaning.
