Dr. Vu graduated from George Mason University with a B.S. in Biology and earned his dental degree D.D.S. from Howard University College of Dentistry in 2017. He didnt go to school away from home so he could assist both of his parents who are also dentists. One of his goals is to eliminate dental pain for his patients. He spent time to educate his patients on oral health to maintain beautiful, confident and healthy smiles. With Dr. Vu, you will always get comprehensive, honest advice for any dental treatment you are seeking. Dr. Vu is committed to continuing education for the betterment of his patients. As a way to pay forward, Dr. Vu volunteers with Hope For Tomorrow and the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic where they provide free or minimum fees for dental services to the underprivileged communities in the area.

As I am writing this review, I am very disappointed with Dr. Brian Vu. I went to him for cleaning and he mentioned that I had some cavities (either 4 or 5) which my insurance covered 2 pf them and the rest I paid out of pocket. After a few days, i had pain in a different tooth. He did an X-ray and he said he doesnt see anything but he can do a filling and if there's a cavity he'll fix it. I had to pay out of pocket. After the filling, my pain didnt go away and I went to him again, he did filling and I paid him AGAIN. For my next cleaning, I went to him and while cleaning my teeth, he scratched my filling (the same tooth that I had pain) and I mentioned that my filling has been damaged. He said I'll fix it and I won't charge you. I was shocked and I told him that before coming here today, my filling was okay and this incident happened while he was cleaning my teeth. He said in return write me a good review which I did. I was very upset but I didn't think he was so unprofessional that he asked me for a good review and I wrote it while i was at his office. He wanted to make sure that I will write the review. I never went back to him. I think from that day it is almost 1.5 years that has been passed. My pain in the same tooth hasn't been gone at all. Now that I am in overseas, i went to a dentist and he said that the dentist who did the filling (Dr. Vu), has damaged my roots and there's a hugeee infection and I have to do root canal. I am extremely upset, disappointed, and frustrated that how a dentist can be unprofessional that doesn't know how to do a filling correctly. I know that accidents happen, but I had the pain for 1.5 years, he did filling twice and I paid every time. He scratched my filling and wanted to charge me again for it. When I said it is his fault he asked for a good review. I wish he would've been honest from the beginning that he has damaged my roots and I need a root canal which even that after 1.5 years my mild pain hasn't been gone at all. At this point I believe that my teeth didnt even need a filling from the beginning and he just wanted to get money from me. I believe it was all scam. I DONT RECOMMEND HIM AT ALL.

I have always been frightened of dentists due to experiences I had as a kid but every dentist or staff I have encountered at Smiles of Sterling have been wonderful. I have been going here for 3 years and I am never nervous going and I feel completely comfortable.

I highly recommend Dr. Vu and Dr. Nguyen to anyone who is looking for a superb dentist! They are both kind, thorough and extremely professional. I always have had excellent care! The staff are all welcoming as well as professional.

they started nice but then they became rude. They were like " you're coming too much and we are being nice with you" !!! and that's because I have a Medicaid. I will never come to this office again nor I will recommend people.

The dental hygienist was really nice and also funny. The dentist was careful and constantly asked if everything was okay while working on my teeth. It was a comfortable experience, I would recommend coming here.
