Dr. Christopher Choongseo Chung is a highly qualified dentist with several areas of expertise in implant and periodontal surgery. He is dedicated to providing the best quality dental care in the Chicagoland area.
Dr. Chung received his bachelors degree at the reputable Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. He then continued his post-graduate PhD education at the University of Iowa where he was active in conducting research in Bioinformatics and Computer Science. It was this science-forward and genetics-related research that promoted Dr. Chungs interest in dental surgery and the people-friendly field of dentistry. He entered the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry and was awarded scholarships for his active research position discovering genes involved in non-syndromic cleft lip and palates. After graduating at the top of his class in 2010 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, he continued to pursue more training and has received several certificates of education in advanced implant surgery techniques as well as advanced soft tissue surgery techniques.
Dr. Chung is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Mia Myoungah Seo is an extensively trained dentist, especially in the field of endodontics/root canals. She is highly motivated to improving her patients oral health and providing them with excellent care.
Dr. Seo (pronounced Suh) first received her dental degree at the prestigious Yonsei University College of Dentistry in Seoul, South Korea. She then received additional training in her 3-year endodontic residency program where she became a specialist in performing advanced cases of root canals. Dr. Seo then worked as a microscope trained endodontist for five years before moving to San Francisco, California as a root canal doctor. In 2012 she went back to school at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry to validate her dental degree. Dr. Seo graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and received several awards due to her excellence in providing the greatest quality of care for her patients. One of these awards included the American Association of Endodontists, Excellence of Endodontics Award, designated to only one student in each class.
Dr. Seo has been a member of the American Association of Endodontists since 2002 and is also a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. So Young Park graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry with her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Her excellence in the field was recognized with awards in Research in advanced whitening and Fixed Prosthodontics. She also was a recipient of academic scholarships throughout the program. Dr. Park acknowledges the necessity of great oral hygiene in all her patients, and in particular children as she had extensive dental work done at a young age. She had completed a senior externship treating children with advanced tooth decay at St. Lukes hospital and encourages her youngest patients to get on the right track for oral care early on. Dr. Park is committed to providing the best quality of dental care to her patients in the way she would like to be treated herself.
Dr. Park grew up in Korea and originally studied piano at a high level before discovering her passion for dentistry. She still enjoys playing the piano in her free time, along with playing golf and reading. Most of her time nowadays is spent with her family, she lives in Glenview, IL with her husband Kwan who works for divvyDose Pharmacy in Chicago and her sons.
Dr. Phimon Atsawasuwan is an experienced and highly accomplished orthodontist. As he practices orthodontics, he also works as an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a board certified orthodontist. He was awarded Thomas M Graber Award of Special Merit, which is one of the most prestigious award from the American Association of Orthodontists and numerous Biomedical Research Awards and fellowship from the American Association of Orthodontist Foundation. He received his DDS and MSc in Periodontics from Mahidol University, Thailand. He then received his MSc in Periodontology from Eastman Dental Institute, University College London, United Kingdom. Dr. Atsawasuwan went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed his PhD in Oral Biology and his postdoctoral fellowship. Afterward Dr. Atsawasuwan completed his MS and his certificate in Orthodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he joins the department of Orthodontics as a full-time faculty and became a diplomate, American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Atsawasuwan enjoys teaching and research, which always keeps him up-to-date with cutting edge technology in the field of Orthodontics. He is also a notable author and publishes an extensive list of case reports and research articles in several peer-reviewed journals including American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He also serves as a reviewer for several scientific and orthodontic journals. He has been invited to give lectures and presentations in many conferences both in the United States and International conferences.
Dr. Atsawasuwans goal for his orthodontic treatment is to improve his patients dental and jaw relationship as well as their beautiful smile with full of confidence. The most rewarding part is to see his patients beautiful smiles and his patients to share their happy smiles with friends and family
Dr. Michael Han received his DDS degree at the prestigious Yonsei University College of Dentistry in Seoul, South Korea. He then received his DDS degree at the University of California at Los Angeles, and completed residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Washington, where he was exposed to a high volume of orthognathic surgery and developed a keen interest in the treatment of dentofacial deformities and related obstructive sleep apnea. Following residency, Dr. Han completed an oral and maxillofacial surgery fellowship at Dalhousie University with a focus on orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery and arthroscopy. There, he was trained in surgical planning and techniques developed by Drs. Jean Delaire and David Precious, both pioneers in the field orthognathic surgery.
Dr. Han is a member of the American Dental Association, the Korean Dental Association, Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, Epsilon Zeta Chapter and the American Assocation of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Hans clinical interests include combined surgical and orthodontic correction of dentofacial deformities, maxillomandibular surgery for obstructive sleep apnea, multidisciplinary management of temporomandibular disorders, including arthroscopy, arthrotomy, and alloplastic reconstruction
Dr. Hans research interests include early-surgery protocol for dentofacial deformity correction, short- and long-term outcomes of orthognathic surgery, and development of a sustainable model for multidisciplinary temporomandibular disorder management.

Both Dr. Seo and Dr. Chung are absolutely amazing. I am getting invisalign treatment by Dr. Seo, now almost to the end. She always puts lots of attention with cares and I am super happy with how this treatment went so far. Dr. Chung is also detail-oriented with a great skills for general care. He took care of several cavities - it was fast but perfect. Best dental place ever I had.

Dr. Park and her team were amazing! We've been searching for a new dentist after moving to Park Ridge, and it's been a challenge finding a doctor that my two kiddos felt comfortable with. Dr. Park was incredibly patient with my 5 yr old and walked him through the procedure and helped him lessen the anxiety. We were impressed with how the team worked to put my boys at ease and would highly recommend this office for any family with younger kids.

I went there by personal recommendation , and it was the best decision, I have ever had Don't want to go into details about my teeth, but let me tell you that , their office is incredible ! They have three doctors there on the regular base , and two awesome specialists ! A girl at the front was so nice and helpful I have a dental anxiety, I had a bad experience in the past , but Dr.Chung made everything so perfect and smooth, I didn't even notice how we were done by that time. Thank you to all doctors and assistants ! Really appreciate your work ! Keep going Smiles of Niles ! p.s they have very nee equipments and 3d wellness scan! That was awesome to see your own teeth on the display!

I used to HATE going to the dentist and always had anxiety about it until I read some reviews online about Dr. Seo and Dr. Chung. I figured I'd give them a shot and am SO GLAD I did! They are so gentle but also professional at the same time. They worked great as a team- and I mean the WHOLE team! Even the dental assistant was great at easing my anxiety and keeping me comfortable.I definitely recommend them to anyone who usually puts off going to the dentist!!!

The team at Smiles of Niles is awesome. Hospitable, friendly, informative, and they do great work. Great for anyone and everyone. They are very clean and professional. Their scheduling is easy and convenient. Since I'm super busy, they provide reminders via text. Take yourself and your family.

I hate going to the dentist. We all do, I know, but honestly it is really bad to me. Having someone I don't know that close to me is near enough to cause a panic attack. So I avoid the dentist at all cost. So I don't have the best teeth. This week, a tooth that I knew had a cavity and had been dragging my feet on getting taken care broke. So I knew I had to go get ti taken care of. It was bad, had to get a root canal. But it could have been worse, at least they were going to be able to save the tooth. The staff was kind, knowledgeable and helped put me at ease. There was no judgement, no shame. They took care of me and made sure I understood what was happening. They have state of the art tech and will take the time to explain why they are doing things. This was so much better than I thought it would be.

I highly recommend this place for any of dental procedures. First I made an appointment to have general oral exam since I was feeling mild pain between my upper molars. Their initial exam was very thorough! I had done multiple procedures with them such as deep cleaning, dental x rays, routine cleaning, tip fracture repair and Invisalign! Their dental hygienists, drs and receptionists are literally the best!

I checked insurance website to make sure my plan is in network. First day I went to this office, I confirmed it and the male staff said they accepted my insurance. Later, I got the huge bills, my insurance said few dentists who used to be in contract with my insurance became out of contract. I never have any dental office did not inform a client any changes of their accepted insurance.

We love Dr.Suh and her team! The quality of patient-doctor relationship is excellent. They're there to help you and put your well-being on the top priority. I actually felt great comfort in their office! All the staffs were very kind and patient. They're great with kids too! Dr.Suh took time to examine and thoroughly explained her findings and went over what our options are. We love them! Highly recommend.

Staff is very friendly, attentive, efficient, and trustworthy! The office is beautiful so you don't dread going to the dentist ;) Dr. Chung is very talented too. He replaced a filling done by a previous dentist and I haven't had any complications and minimal pain! I would recommend this office to friends. They have a big parking lot at their new office--which is very close to the old office but not sure if the address listed here is correct. Also Jane is AMAZING! She did my deep cleaning & she was SO personable & professional!

My mom and I recently found them and we are so glad we did, we definitely love this place. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the environment makes you feel safe and comfortable. My whole family joined the office after the first visit because the whole staff were super friendly and helpful. I come here to see Jane the hygienist for my cleaning, she's always great because ahe genuinely cares about my oral health and always informs me on how to take care of my teeth! I really appreciate it! Plus, I got my invisalign with Dr. Phimon and saw the oral surgeon Dr . Han and I had great experiences with both of them. 5 stars!!

We went to smiles of Niles. Smiles of Niles is a really good dentist office, very clean and looks good all around. Everyone is very welcoming and happy to help. Dr. Park was my dentist and she is very sweet and her work quality is great.Bermet, was very kind, welcoming and friendly and willing to help with everything. I have not met anyone like her.

Can't say enough great things about this office. I had a hot tooth and was seen as a walk-in by Dr. Seo. Everything went great and I was completely out of pain the first day. So many positives about this place: 1. Covid precautions. Masks mandatory, temperature and symptom screening on entry, and all personnel were gowned and masked. Double mouth rinses before treatment. Every doctor and assistant had full faceshields, and each room had an air purifying filter. No crowding in the waiting area. 2. High standards. I've had 2 root canals before, but this was the first where a big mounted microscope was used from start to finish. 3. Accommodating. It has been a while since my last checkup and cleaning. They were very accommodating and slipped me in for a checkup and hygiene visit right after my root canal was finished. The hygienist Jane was very thorough in explaining everything she did, including a head and neck exam, oral cancer screening, checking for cavities and gum disease, and x-rays (I am the type that appreciates an explanation for everything!). All this plus the cleaning were done quite quickly and efficiently. Her chairside manner was impeccable. Overall she seemed very polished and professional. It took a hot tooth to bring me to a dentist's office after a few years of laziness, but I feel comfortable making this office my go-to place for regular checkups and cleanings.
