From a young age, Dr. Shaheen found dentistry fascinating. When he was 18 years old, he attended his first craniofacial clinic and decided that he wanted to be a dentist. Dr. Shaheen graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelors degree in microbiology, and then attended Wayne State School of Business to pursue an MBA. Dr. Shaheen then began chasing his dreams in the dental field by returning to University of Michigan for Dental School. After graduating, he continued to advance his education in oral surgery, endodontics, and the medically compromised.
As he began to practice, Dr. Shaheen quickly realized that while he loved the medical aspects and craftsmanship of dentistry, his favorite part of the job was the relationships he developed with his patients. He has a special gift for helping apprehensive patients feel at ease and overcome their fear of the dentist. Dr. Shaheen recognizes the difference that a comfortable, relaxing dental experience can make, and he strives his best to be a good friend to every patient that walks through his doors.
Inside the practice, you will not only find a friendly and welcoming environment but also a modern office at the forefront of cutting-edge technology and scientific advancement. Dr. Shaheen is passionate about providing the very best care to his patients, and he is constantly taking the time to further his education. He plans to continue both his dental and medical educations, with heavy involvement in multidisciplinary treatment.
Outside of the office, Dr. Shaheen, along with his 5 siblings, is heavily involved in sports and the medical community. He wrestled both in high school and for the University of Michigan, and he enjoys coaching wrestling when time permits.

My new Dentist, Dr. Shaheen has proven to be the most compassionate, understanding Dentist (or any medical professional) I have ever visited. I have a LONG standing fear of Dentists from my childhood. Because of that I tend to go LONG periods without a dentist visit. Most recently I needed to have 4 teeth pulled and prior to that a thorough cleaning. My expectations were to have multiple visits for the cleaning as I have had to make multiple visits in the past. The Hygenist cleaned my teeth in 1 visit, and it was 100% painless. I cannot say enough GOOD things about the staff and for my new DENTIST - Thank you Dr. Shaheen

I love my dental team. They know I am a big baby and ready with the gas when I walk in the door. I am extremely nervous and have a nervous tendency to talk and joke to much. It's nice to see they too can dish the humor right back. Dr. Shaheen has a lovely staff whom always make you feel comfortable, and I just adore the fact he boasts about his daughter who is just darling. I am happy I found Dr. Shaheen, I wish they would supply ear plugs so I don't have to hear that grinding and some gas that puts me to sleep. I'm so tense, but that's my dental phobia and bad dental care in the past. Thank you to Dr. Shaheen and his staff for all you do. God Bless. Susie Rios

I cannot say enough good things about this place. The staff is absolutely wonderful. The building looks great. Very comfortable and inviting. Do to how good the staff is, it's a place where you can go into in the worst of conditions, cuz we all know tooth issue pain is the worst, and have the problem handled perfectly. The pricing here is so fair for us uninsured people. I highly recommend going here. It's too bad there isn't more places that operate this way!!

Dr. Shaheen is a quality dentist and I've enjoyed going there for over three years. Recently however, they began sending me bills for work done over two years ago that is suddenly, out of network, without telling me this. Their claim is that my BCBS insurer is sometimes out of network and sometimes in network. Every time I was there I asked if I owed them money and they claimed I did not. But now the bills are arriving. I'm seeking a new dentist. Update: after speaking with the office they explained that the issue was a visit in the fall of 2021 that was not covered by my insurer. I learned that I was never in-network and that the prices for many services such as routine cleaning had been doubled in my most recent visit. The office was professional in these explanations and did write off the amount owed but I'm still troubled with the lack of communication and explanation on how the insurance process works. Caveat emptor.

Felt uncomfortable after they left me there to wait while they took care of someone who came in after me.. Was listening to them talk about botox so I'm guessing that person is more wealthy than me...So i got up and left in hopes of finding a dentist who will treat patients equally.

Jenni in the office was amazing and super nice! Very welcoming environment, very local for me which is nice, and my fear of the dentist has almost went away with my wisdom tooth out Dr. Shaheen was extremely professional and to a T and handled my anxiety over the entire situation amazing. Absolutely 1000% coming back

Dr. Shaheen and his team are exceptional, they have a phenomenal cultural of service and support, no matter if they are texting you, calling you, or in person, they make you feel apart of their family and their knowledge of their profession is outstanding. Been going here for a few years, was great a couple of years ago. Felt personal and like you mattered. Now it feels you are just a number to get in and out. Office was in network, now it is all of a sudden out of network. No one warned us that we are now out of network... ended up paying way more. I am still shocked at bills and fact that no one warned us.
