It may sound hokey, but Dr. Robert Gallien and Dr. Erin Eudaly became dentists because they wanted to change lives for the better. Thats exactly what they do by providing beautiful aesthetics and functional restorations that can last a lifetime. Local residents appreciate our excellent dentistry in Chattanooga, TN so much that our practice is a five-time winner in the Best of the Best Awards by the Chattanooga Times Free Press.

  • CEREC When dental crowns are made in an off-site lab, youll wait at least several days for your restoration. Our CEREC system allows us to make crowns and other restorations for you in just one visit.
  • 3D CT Scanner This 3D imaging system shows us not just your teeth but also the underlying tissue, bone, and nerve pathways. We also use it to discover potential complications before procedures and to identify the best sites for dental implant placement.
  • Dr. Erin Eudaly grew up in Columbia, TN as the oldest child of three. She was interested in teeth from a young age; she even remembers writing a poem about dental hygiene in third grade. Positive experiences with her own dentist gave her the vision of pursuing a career in dentistry. Her childhood visions of polishing molars and filling cavities were solidified by the end of her high school years with several moving and powerful encounters in Panama.

She helped care for hundreds of children and adults in a makeshift clinic, working each day as long as the sun would allow. Her ability to speak Spanish allowed her to have a direct interaction with the patients, explaining the nature of their disease and treatment and then calming and consoling them through their procedures. She particularly enjoyed holding the young children as they had their teeth examined. It was witnessing this level of disease and having the hands-on experiences in treatment that hooked her on dentistry for good.

She graduated fromHarding Universityin Searcy, AR with a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology. She went on to complete dental school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry in Memphis. Dr. Eudaly practiced dentistry for several years in Millington, TN before moving to Chattanooga. She and her husband, Stuart, were attracted to Chattanooga because of its landscape and people.

Dr. Eudaly loves her career in dentistry because it blends her loves for art and science and also allows her to meet amazing people with inspiring stories. She appreciates the focus at Smiles of Chattanooga on giving the best care in the best atmosphere. She has received numerous awards in her career, including the James T. Andrews Memorial Scholarship Award for Outstanding Leadership and Service in Restorative Dentistry, Deans Certificate of Achievement Award, and a High Achievement Award in Special Care Dentistry for treating patients with disabilities.

She especially loves seeing a patients face light up after a great experience, whether it was receiving a painless injection or seeing the end result of a cosmetic case. She also enjoys seeing patients take an interest in caring for their dental health and changing their habits.

Dr. Robert J. Gallien is a native of Martin, a small town in west Tennessee. He has been around dentistry his whole life, since his father and two uncles are all dentists. He received a bachelors degree in science from the University of Tennessee at Martin, then obtained his DDS degree from theUniversity of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistryin Memphis. Upon graduation, he received a Dental Materials Award.

While living in Memphis, he met his wife, Beth, a native of southwest Virginia and also a dentist until the birth of their third child. The couple moved to Chattanooga because they were attracted to its small-town charm, scenic beauty, wonderful schools, and, most important, proximity to their families.

Before opening his own practice in 2005, Dr. Gallien worked at an office where he was trained in sedation dentistry and got the limited sedation license hes maintained ever since. He also trained at the prestigiousLas Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, with courses in full-mouth reconstruction, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and TMJ treatment. He has received extensive training in Invisalign, an orthodontic treatment he has been offering since 2005, and in CEREC, a technology used to create same-day dental restorations that he has been using since 2007.

His love of learning and staying up-to-date on the latest treatment techniques leads him to take about 80 hours of continuing education every year, four times more than the coursework required by the state of Tennessee. In 2014 he received his Fellowship the Academy of General Dentistry. He has completed a mini residency in implant dentistry and is a Fellow and Master in the International Academy of Dental Implantology. He will receive his Diplomate status, the highest level that can be obtained, in 2019. In addition, he has received training from Fortune Management, the Scheduling Institute, and the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT).

In addition to his own education, Dr. Gallien encourages members of his team to maintain the highest levels of training. His favorite part of the job is changing patients lives. He doesnt just want to improve their smiles, but also to change their perspectives on oral health and create a desire to take care of their teeth and gums. This puts them on a different trajectory in life with their health!

Dr. Gallien and Beth have three children, Luke, Ava, and Grant. They also have a goldendoodle named Ace. In Dr. Galliens free time, he enjoys spending time at their cabin with his family, riding four-wheelers, fishing, and splitting wood, among other outdoor activities. The family also enjoys outdoorsy vacations, to the beach in the summer and snowboarding in the winter. He and Beth spend a lot of time at the ball field, the basketball court, and cross country races watching their children compete. His other hobbies include photography, mountain biking, golfing, lifting weights, and exercising.

Her and Cassie made me feel calm And comfortable throughout the entire process . I am healing well and when I come for check ups they get me right in. They remember me and my services and give a very personal experience . I highly recommend . .

Smiles of Chattanooga is staffed by a remarkable group of professional people and it was a pleasure to go there. The staff are so naturally friendly, not faked, I just instantly felt comfortable. The Tech and Doctor listened closely to me, I knew they understood why I was there and what I needed and I'm certain I will get the best treatment in the future, too, not just first visit. The new patient process is amazing! The dental care itself was perfect. (Implant cleaning) No pain, discomfort or being ill at ease. It's also one of the most FUN places to go and I actually look forward to the next visit! I highly recommend it! Yep, just see for yourself! And ask about Hedwig! ;)
