Orthodontics gives me the opportunity to provide patients with a better smile, and in most cases, the chance to improve the function of their teeth. I have gotten to know some wonderfully unique people, from our great patients to our awesome staff. Working with different individuals helps me to stay focused and enthusiastic because are all working to achieve a common goal:great smiles and good bites!
I attended the United States Air Force Academy and Rhodes College for my undergraduate education. I continued on to the University of Louisville for dental school, andearnedmy Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2003. My orthodontic residency and Master of Science were also obtained at the University of Louisville.
Continuing education plays a vital role in providing my patients with the newest and most effective orthodontic treatments. I attend the annual American Association of Orthodontists conference for continuing education to learn about the most recent advances in my field. I am also currently Invisalign certified.
I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and completed my undergraduate studies at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Icompleted my dental training at the University of Louisville, where I met Dr. Gilbertand earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicinewith honors.
I also completed my residency training at the University of Louisville, where I earned a certificate in orthodontics and a masters degree in oral biology. After residency training, I practiced in San Diego,where I met my wifeJacquelyn.
My approach to orthodontics applies the latest technologies, including clear aligners (Invisalign), mini-screw implants, self-ligating braces, and soft-tissue lasers. Orthodontics has seen some major breakthroughs in the last ten years, and Im very passionate about staying on the leading edge of treatment technique, technology, and patient care. I regularly attend the AAO annual meetings, as well asother seminars, and work closely with a network of orthodontists to share ideas and best practices.
I truly want our patients to have fun during the process and be proud of the dynamic smiles that we create together. What inspires me most about this great profession is seeing the lasting, positive impact that a great smile can have on kids and adults alike.
When Im not at the office, Ispendtime with my wifeJacquelynand our two boys, Austin and Bennett. Although we find ourselves at home more these days, we are adventure seekers at heart. We love to travel and try out new activities,from white water rafting and zip lining to racing in half marathons and paddle boarding at the beach. As for less adventurous activities, I enjoy running, cycling, and playing golf.
The team at Smiles Forever Orthodontics has more than 230 years of combined dental and orthodontic experience, and many of our staff members have been with this practice for more than ten years. We drive about 40min to come here with our son since he was almost 7yrs old now almost 11yrs old we still drive this far even thowe we could go 5 min down the road some where else but we don't we love this group and the Dr's and staff are so friendly answer any questions and concerns I have for my son teeth. I so highly recommend this place.

This office is fantastic. Between 2 children, I have received care here for 2 years and have never experienced an issue. Everyone is professional and courteous. We are always greeted with smiles and treated kindly. The DR. is kind and patient, answering all of my questions, pushing nothing on me, and offering explanations. The level of curtesy and respect that you receive here is unbeatable. The facility is extremely clean and well kept. Cannot say enough good things.

Wonderful experience and we will be back with our younger son. Office and staff are clean, professional and welcoming. Dr. Gilbert and Dr. Wells and their staff are very dependable and explain everything to the patient and parent. They do not try and overcharge or find something wrong to charge for.

Smiles Forever is an amazing place to go if you or your children need orthodontic care! My 10 year old had braces done there and it was a painless tear free process. They make jokes with the kiddos and make them comfortable. Now my older child has to have braces put on and of course we are back with Smiles Forever! They are friendly, caring, and professional. Overall great experience. They work out a wonderful payment plan as well! I would give more stars if it were possible!

As a dental hygienist for 25 years, I can highly recommend Dr Gilbert and Dr Wells based on not only professional but personal experience. Myself and two children have received orthodontic treatment with this practice, and have been treated with compassion and professionalism. We love Dr. Gilbert & Dr. Wells. They took very good care of my 15-year-old when she had braces and they are now taking care of my 12-year-old with her braces. The entire office staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. We always feel welcome when we are in the office. We would recommend SmilesForever to anyone needing orthodontic work!
