This practice was established by Dr. Barakat. We believe in treating everyone like family! We want everyone to truly enjoy their experience when coming to their dental visits. First thing when you come in you can get coffee or water while waiting to be taken back to our luxury operatory chairs where you can get a massage. Not to mention they are also heated!
We offer routine cleanings, gingivitis and periodontal therapy, fillings, crowns or veneers and bridges, root canals and oral surgery, partials and dentures. We also offer cosmetics such as several types of whitening and Botox and Dysport products. We offer Restylane dermal fillers like Restylane Lyft and Kysse. We are a part of the Aspire Rewards Program. We make our crowns and bridges in office so NO MORE temporarys. We use local labs to make all other prosthetics.
WE ARE ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS. Usually we can get a new patient in fairly quick and depending on what you would like to get started with after your visit we may even be able to do that in the same visit! We accept most insurances such as BlueCross BlueShield of Alabama, Delta Dental, Guardian, Aetna, Cigna, MetLife, United Concordia, etc. Payments we accept are Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Cash, and Care Credit.
Dr. Barakat has been in the dental field since 2009. She worked as an expanded duty dental assistant before becoming a dentist. Dr. Barakat received her certificate in molecular science and Bachelor of Science from the University of West Florida, where she graduated as an Honors Scholar. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Louisiana State University. She was awarded a Dental Implant Award from the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. And she recently became a Certified Cerec Doctor and has her Certification in Advanced Laser Training Technology.
Dr. Barakat has a real passion for dentistry and loves her profession. She truly cares for her patients and strives to provide them with the best care options available. She does everything from Fillings and Crowns to Root Canal and Extractions. She is also a member of the International Academy of Facial Aesthetics so for those of you that want more than just dental work, she can take care of all of you Botox and Filler needs. Dr. Barakat enjoys reading, painting, and traveling in her spare time.

I'm a huge fan of Dr. Barakat and the entire staff at Smiles Forever! Taylor, the receptionist, is super polite and helpful. Christiana does an excellent job with helping me take care of my teeth; she has a painless touch and great bedside manners. I'm grateful for having such a knowledgeable dentist and for the services provided!!

Worst experience ever. I was told I had nine cavities, and I needed them filled when in fact I did not. I had came in and got some of them filled and a few hours after I got home and the numbness wore off I ate lunch and as soon as I bit into my food I just had a shock of pain shoot through my body because of the tooth she worked on. I thought well maybe it's just still sore, so I gave it a while. After that I had waited a week and had to go back and get it fixed because I couldn't eat on my right side at all, so I went in tried to let her fix it and got home hoping what she did had worked... it didn't. I had went back several more times to get it fixed( all while being charged every time) and it never got fixed. So then I went and got another dentist to look at it to see if he could help me because I couldn't eat! He got X-rays and did some examinations and turns out I needed a root canal because she had drilled so deep and also had 2/3 cavities max that really didn't even need to get filled! So I had no choice but to go get a root canal done and have a crown put on. Now I'm out hundreds of dollars from the root canal that was totally preventable and hundreds from smiles forever that half the time I didn't even know what they were charging me for because it was always something.. I have insurance 1/10. ( staff was nice) just feel neglected and ripped off

The entire team is beautiful and humble. Kind and knowledgeable!!!! To say the least. They listen to what you want and aren't too pushy to make a sale more so give a coupon to help a girl feel her best ! I will hands down go to them again and again !!! Dr barakat is a product of her line and she's stunning just FYI. Idk why she isn't the face of her own marketing . Anyways. Thanks they changed my confidence and absolutely turned my entire day around . Just being vulnerable and honest here but!!!! She even followed up on the weekend with me personally....Bc I was nervous about finances and I've never felt a dr be as personable as she is. She cares.
