Dr. Brower began restoring and placing implants in 1997 and continues to be heavily involved in the forefront of implant therapy in the U.S. He has placed and restored over 12,000 dental implants since 1997 and helped develop two independent dental implant lines for manufacturers. He teaches live surgery courses in his offices with doctors coming from all over the world to see him perform live surgery multiple times per year.
Dr. Brower can also be seen at the University of South Dakota Chemistry department website giving a lecture on organic chemistry where he helps develop new kinds of dental products to help prevent and restore cavities.
He has lectured and taught dental implantology internationally and been a keynote speaker at the University of California San Diego where he was filmed for international training of other dentists. His implant videos can be see on the dentinal tubules network which is the largest depository of dental knowledge on the planet.
Dr. Brower is faculty for the International Academy of Dental Implants and a featured keynote speaker in China where implant dentistry is fast becoming something every dental practitioner there performs.
He also teaches orthodontics (braces) and publishes/lectures for the American Orthodontic Society. He runs dental forums for orthodontics and dental implants and moderates the conversations of hundreds of dentists every day.
He is an American Dental Association accredited and approved continuing education lecturer, and has continuing education available through www.dentaltown.com which is the worlds largest gathering of dentists on the current state of implant prosthetics in the 21st century.
He is licensed in South Dakota, Nebraska, California, and maintains an active sedation permit in South Dakota. All of his licenses and permits have always been and continue to be in good standing.Dr. Brower has performed legal defense of dentists who place dental implants on multiple occasions and is available for expert opinions.
He also maintains active membership in the South Dakota Dental Association, American Dental Association, International Association of Orthodontics, American Orthodontics Society, and is a founding member of the American Academy of Small Diameter Implants where he holds Mastership status and the International Academy of Mini Dental Implants where he holds Mastership status. He is also a Diplomate of the International Academy of Dental Implants and course teacher. Dr. Brower has 4 children.

Dr Josh Brower at Smiles for Siouxland and team did an excellent job at removing 4 large wisdom teeth from my mouth in under 5 minutes. Compared to an average 30-90 minute removal process from other practitioners, 5 minutes is unmatched! Thank you to Dr and team for making the entire process comfortable and fast.

My 19 year old daughter went in to get her 4 wisdom teeth taken out. Barely sedated her. She was having an anxiety attack during the whole procedure and they wouldn't comfort her. After the procedure she was crying from pain so we went to the er in mitchell right after the facility because the dentist wouldn't prescribe anything more than ibuprofen. 10/10 don't recommend.

Last week my daughter went in to get 4 wisdom teeth removed. The receptionist was very nice. My daughter went back to the room. I was in waiting room. And after about 25 minutes I thought I heard laughing. The receptionist said it was laughing as well. Another 25 minutes went by and It happened again. I then knew it was my daughter screaming. They could not get her numb all the way. And so he gave her another injection and said "THIS COULD BE THE LETHAL INJECTION. " Really WHO SAYS THAT. But still went a out pulling teeth. The dentist came out of the room many times. My daughter told me later because he needed breaks he was getting upset with her. I wish I would of went back their took her out. She was back in the room for 2 hours! NO BED SIDE MANNER, NO COMPATION. Must of thought he was working on a tree. NEVER AGAIN .

They were way to fast when pulling out my teeth, i was told 2 would be pulled but a 3nd was pulled and that they said would be a fill. Now i have a hole in my mouth and no back teeth to chew! You cant just pull out teeth! It gave me an instant headache!

I came in to get started on getting my teeth back in shape and started with a wisdom teeth removal, I was extremely nervous about the whole thing but after getting in they did a great job it was extremely fast and easy I'm recovering well. Only day two since I got it done and it hardly feels like anything was done definitely recommend them for all dental care!

Do not go to this dentist!!!!! This was our previous dentist and it was absolutely traumatizing! The only nice staff was the receptionist who was very kind and helpful towards us. All of the rest of the staff was horrid. My sister who has terrible anxiety started crying due to fear and a dentist told her to shut up and stop being a baby or to leave. The dentist offered no help or anything to ease her anxiety not even a break to regroup herself and basically told a distressed and scared child to shut up and stop crying or to leave. Not only that but during a cavity drilling they had me hold my mouth open the entire time while drilling in my mouth and screamed at me when I reacted to the pain of the needle. They do not stop or paused if asked/needed. They have no consideration for their patients and are very shady. I previously had little anxiety going to the dentist bit sense this experience have extreme anxiety and panic attacks even going to my current dentist for a cleaning! I DO NOT Recommend them especially if you have kids or younger teens! I would not trust this place with my child or my buisness!

The hygienists were amazing and kind and welcoming the office was beautiful and unique but unfortunately the dentist, Dr. Brower was not kind and he was very rude and made me feel very bad. Everything besides that dentist was great but I'm very disappointed, usually medical professionals don't act that way

I've been with Dr. Brower for going to 10 yrs and love, love all about him, and all his staff. This place is a great one in every way possible, I can't even stress it enough. From the moment you walk in to time you get out. God continue to bless Dr . Brower and all the wonderful people at Sioux Falls Dental for all the great work they do especially for what they've done for my son to help him get back his smile.

Yesterday, I went to Smiles For Siouxland for my six month checkup and teeth cleaning. Shawna was my hygienist and she thoroughly removed the plaque on my teeth. She also flossed, polished and applied fluoride to my teeth. Besides all that, She found a cavity and set up an appointment to get it repaired. As you can probably tell, I want to recommend that you choose Smiles For Siouxland for your next visit to keep your teeth in great condition.

The last time I saw Dr Brower on September 9, 2021, he told me he doesn't just do dentistry for cleanings or he wouldn't make any money. He also told me maybe I should get another job to pay for my crowns. Even in jest, it isn't funny. He definitely needs to work on his bedside manner and if I do decide to do my crowns I will give someone else my money. The rest of the staff is wonderful.

Dr Brower is great and all the staff there are friendly and welcoming. They make sure your comfortable and know what's going on with the plan you set up for your care. Definitely recommend this office!
