Every interaction with a patient is an opportunity to make their day, and mine, a little brighter.It is both personally and professionally rewarding to seemy patients, regardless of age, gain confidence and self-esteem as their dream of a beautiful smile becomes a reality.
I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1998, from La Universidad del Zuila, in Venezuela, where I was ranked first in my class. After practicing dentistry for a year, I began my specialty training at Saint Louis University.
During my residency, I completed a Cleft Lip and Palate Fellowship at the Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospital. After completing my Master of Science (MS) in Orthodontics in 2001, I returned to Venezuela, where I was an instructor in orthodontics at La Universidad del Zulia. We moved to Texas in 2005, since then I have been working as an Orthodontist in the DFW area.
Orthodontics is a constantly evolving specialty. I stay current on changes in technology and treatment options through conferences, lectures, and seminars. I also read the latest research in various journals and other publications and am an active member of several study clubs.
I am a native of Maracaibo, Venezuela and now live in Southlake, TX. My husband Jorge and I have been married for more than 20 years. We have two children, Adriana and Jorge Jr.who are both attending Texas A&M University. When not caring for patients, I love spendingtimewith my family and friends. I also enjoy traveling and staying active, especially swimming, biking, and running.
Dr. Machado is fortunate to have surrounded herself with a team who pursues the same vision she does, which is to provide our patients and their families with excellent orthodontic care at every visit! Every member of Dr. Machado's team attends continuing education courses throughout the year. It enables us to offer the most advanced orthodontic treatment available. Our amazing team is more like a family. We truly enjoy learning together, sharing laughs and seeing the difference orthodontics brings to the lives of children and adults.
I have been in orthodontics since 2006. My husband Joe and I have two marvelous children, Tripp and Maci. When not working, my favorite times are spent with family and friends. We all enjoy traveling!
I have worked in the orthodontic field for 30 years as of 2018. I've been able to watch the technilogical advances orthodontics has made over the years. I was blessed to join Dr. Machado in 2017. My husband and I have been married for 36 years. I enjoy spending time with my two beautiful grandchildren, Kinzi and Kade.
I have wanted to work in orthodontics since I had braces in the fifth grade.Working with Dr M and being apart of creating great smiles is a dream come true for me! I have my bachelors in biology and hope to attend dental school in the near future. I also enjoy event planning on the side. I recently married my best friend Blake and we have two precious dogs Gilbert and Clara.

I am originally from Houma, LA. I have been in customer service for 30 years and in 2018 decided to join the dental field. Ive been working with orthodontics since 2019 and love it. I have 3 older children and spend my time with my 10 dogs, 2 pigs and 6 cats on my days off.

I am proud to say I have been married for over 40 years to my high school sweetheart, Marshall. We are blessed with 3 fabulous children, Marshall Jr, Katie, and Adam. We have 2 wonderful grandchildren Kiley and Brennan who are the light of our lives. I enjoy walks with our pups Bentley, Maggie, Jager, and Miller as well as gardening, crafting and sewing.

The team at Smiles for Life goes above and beyond. I was already impressed with their professionalism and care of my son with his orthodontic treatment. However, after the last visit I was absolutely sure I made the right decision choosing this team. I left the office and my car wouldn't start. I went to call triple A when Robyn went into action. She hopped up, pulled her car next to mine, got the jumper cables, and viola! I was on my way. This team is amazing. They give great care to my son, and they are eager to help with everything! My son is comfortable here and I feel like a part of their family. Thank you!

Smiles for life is a very professional, clean, and wonderful staff. Loved Dr. Machado. I had Tina the whole year taking care of me if I had any questions Tina would get on phone or called me back if she was with another patient. Recommend Smiles for life for all orthodontist services. The best around in the metroplex. They really care about their patients.

Dr. M is absolutely amazing. She is very patient and her staff is always helpful, friendly and makes my son feel calm. They are also very good in handling any emergency situation. Love love love their service. My son will have his braces off on his second phase and he is very excited to see the result. Such a huge difference when looking at his picture the first time he got the treatment, and now his teeth are straight and he has the most beautiful smile. Thank you Dr. M, you are the sweetest!

Dr. Machado and her staff are committed to helping their patient's end up with a perfect smile. I've had four family members at her office now. They've had their work cut out for them. One of my children's teeth was sideways, like a fin. Their attention to details has made for some pretty awesome smiles and we owe it all to them! They are welcoming and communicate well. Today we visited Dr.Irelia for our first consultation, as recommended by our pediatric dentist. Front office Ashton is awesome and it was easy to schedule an appointment. Then we met Kim or Michele she was awesome, kind and sweet. Dr Irelia had patience to listen all your questions and explained on why the treatment needed for our son. we loved our first visit and satisfied and looking forward for the next visit.

Very friendly but professional office. They have worked very hard to keep up their standards and still meet COVID-19 safety measures. Dr. Machado is very bright and experienced, yet still so sweet!
