Dr. McIntyre grew up on a turkey farm just outside of Roseville, California. He enjoyed working with his hands in the shop and spent many hours fixing and creating things. As a teenager, his girlfriend's father was a dentist and that sparked his interest in the profession. After earning his Bachelor's Degree from Brigham Young University, Dr. McIntyre received his doctorate from the University of California in San Francisco in 1982. He has taken many advanced continuing education courses, including graduating from the prestigious Kois Center for Dental Excellence, courses in implants, Dr. Misch Surgical Continuum, cosmetics, veneers, Lumineers, same-day Cerec crowns and Invisalign. Dr. McIntyre is a member of International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Academy of Osseointegration.
Dr. McIntyre and his wife, Becky, have six children and 19 grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with the family and traveling across the country to visit all of them. Dr. McIntyre is a strong supporter of the Boy Scouts of America and is pleased that all three of his sons are Eagle Scouts. He also enjoys woodworking, especially making furniture for his children's homes, and bass fishing.
Dr. McIntyre is a gentle, caring dentist who uses the most advanced materials and procedures available. He practices comfortable, health-centered dentistry with a strong emphasis on getting to know each of his patients. In addition to his technical proficiency, Dr. McIntyre is a careful listener and will explain beforehand what treatment is best for your individual needs. His passion for the profession and his love of people is evident each day as he provides the best for his patients. l habla Espaol!
Dr. Dan Whiting was born and raised in the shadows of the Rocky Mountains just south of Salt Lake City, Utah. He developed a love of nature and being outdoors through scouting and other family activities. He particularly likes to mountain bike, hike, and fish whenever he gets a chance. When he was 19, he spent two years in Moscow, Russia, serving a mission for his church. While in Moscow, along with learning the culture and language, he had the great fortune to meet fellow missionary Jenny McIntyre, the daughter of Dr. Joe and Becky McIntyre. Following their missions, they attended Brigham Young University where Dr. Whiting was a political science major. However, his marriage introduced him to the world of dentistry and he decided to pursue that career path.He attended dental school at Temple University in Philadelphia and graduated in 2009.
Dr. Whiting and his wife have developed a love of remodeling homes.After 3 house remodels, they have many skills to take their houses to the next level. His family calls them the 'Fixer Uppers' Chip and Joanna Gaines.Dr. Whiting loves to work and he works hard on his projects, and he involves his five children in learning to work. But there is also time for fun and he loves spending time with his children being outdoors on hikes and bike rides, sitting around a campfire, traveling to new destinations and swimming and playing games together. Dr. Whiting also coaches FIRST Lego League robotics teams with his wife Jenny in our community, and he serves generously in his church community and beyond.
Dr. Whiting joined Smiles for Life in August of 2010 and has been an active learner in many different aspects of dentistry. He has received advanced training in cosmetics, implants, orthodontics, sleep disorders, and same day Cereccrowns.He enjoys meeting and helping his patients and working with them, along with the help of his great team, to create a smile that his patients can enjoy for a lifetime.
Dr. Philipp Luschin is originally from Frankfurt, Germany, where he grew up speaking both English and German. Other than German, he also speaks conversational Russian. His last name (pronounced Lu-sheen) is from a Croatian island. His international background instilled a love of traveling in him. So far, he has visited 27 countries and hopes to see many more. Some of the most far flung places he has been are Japan and Kazakhstan.
Philipp completed his undergraduate degree in communications at Brigham Young University. After graduation, he worked in finance before decidingto go back to school for dentistry. Philipp graduated from the University of Utah School of Dentistry, where he gained a wide variety of experience. He is a constant learner and enjoys attending continuing education events to further hone his skills. Dentistry is a profession that brings together some of his favorite things: working one on one with people and applying his artistic and creative skills to solve problems. He loves helping people smile with confidence!
When he is not admiring his patients' teeth in the dental chair, Philipp enjoys spending time with his wife, Tara, and their 3 children outdoors. Whether it is hiking or swimming, as long as the whole family is together, it is always a good time!

I have major medical/dental anxiety and therefore put off proper care for years and years. My teeth are in quite a state I'm embarrassed to say but I realized I had to do something earlier this year. By chance, I opted to try Smiles for Life in Staunton and I'm so thankful I did. Every single person I've encountered has been sweet, encouraging, nonjudgmental, and patient with me as I navigate all my procedures. I feel less anxiety each time I go which is good considering how frequently I'll be sitting in those chairs Highly, highly recommend!

Nice staff, very gentle, dentist really talks to you. And they have yummy muffins!! And my boy loved the $5 Kline's gift card for having no cavities!

I was in for my six month cleaning and check up. Everyone there is terrific. It was a learning curve fore, as Dr. Adams was my dentist for many years, but I'm adapting and I'm happy there.

Today, as usual, I was greeted with smiles & enthusiasm when i entered the office. Each member of the team Including the office staff, hygienist, dental assistants & dentists are always very friendly & interested in how I have been each time I see them. They take time to answer all my questions & always explain what they are doing each step if the way. I always have a positive experience when I visit. The environment is inviting & I love the updated decor changes they have made in the waiting area. It lifts my spirits each time I visit! I appreciate all their efforts to participate in & contribute to the dental needs of the people of Haiti & other communities of people throughout the year. It's refreshing that we have an opportunity to give to these programs through Smiles for Life knowing we are making a difference in someone's life! Thanks for making my dental visits special! I always look forward to seeing the team!

My hygienist, Megan, was absolutely amazing. She was so kind and showed genuine care for my dental health. She was incredibly thorough while ensuring my comfort during X-rays and the cleaning. I enjoyed my visit with her and look forward to seeing her again!

It felt like I was given the bait and switch. Promised a price for a cleaning then was charged for other stuff, did not get a cleaning. Very disappointed. Now I have to find another dentist to do the cleaning because Smiles for Life want around 5000 dollars for tooth and gum therapy.

Everyone at the Staunton office were smiling, friendly and kind. Such a warm and inviting atmosphere. Any anxiousness was instantly washed away.

My sister called on a Monday and wasn't feeling well and needed to cancel an appointment that day. The receptionist was really rude saying they required a 24hr notice and insisted she come in anyways (sick ) when my sister said she really was sick, the receptionist made another appointment and when my sister said thank you she just said "mmmhmm" and hung up.
