For most people, achieving a healthy, beautiful smile is the reason for receiving orthodontic care. If you're self-conscious about your smile, correcting your concerns with braces will greatly improve the way you look and feel.

When your treatment is complete, you will have the smile you've always dreamed of and the confidence to show it off! We also want you to feel comfortable and confident throughout your entire orthodontic experience, and our practice is dedicated to making sure that you receive the quality care you deserve.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.

Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets, and in some cases, you can even choose the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!

Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years depending on several factors, including age, treatment method, and the severity of your case. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

My child was last seen in the office in July . Office failed to set a follow up, when we called in with a broken bracket & to set up an appointment we ended up with an appointment all the way out in Nov 2022. The office admitted that they failed to reschedule my child after her last visit. And I understand the doctor getting Covid is something nobody can control. But the lack of empathy and urgency to get my child rescheduled before December 23 is absurd. I requested if they could double book us or move their schedule around due to this being a scheduling issue on their part. No other options were explored other than adding her to the cancellation list , if someone is to cancel and if I'm available to get her there on short notice. If you value your time, you may want to consider a different office.

Made an appointment for my special need child a month back. When get to the appointment there was no appointment. I will not go to this place again. "We left a voicemail and we expect you to to call us and that is our responsibility towards patient." Is what front personnel said. May be they are too busy to give a 2nd call or forgot that reaching the patient is the goal not leaving the voicemail when they want to reschedule.

Had a great experience. My son is only 17 Months old, And will not hold still for any extended period of time. However, they were still able to do a thorough examination of his teeth, give me great information for dental care at home, and added fluoride to his teeth. My son had a great visit and everyone was extremely friendly. Will definitely be going back!

My experience has been superb here at Smiles for Kids east side. Staff, from signing in to signing out is patient, informative, knowledgeable, and truly, truly have a heart for their patients. Dr. Chavez and his assistants have done work on my children and his care has always gone above and beyond what expected. He's very delicate and careful with his work, and with his patients. Every moment they make sure patient is comfortable (physically and emotionally), explains procedure in detail, listens attentively to any questions/concerns. I would recommend this dental office.
