We are a private and locally owned, non-corporate Pediatric Dental Provider. Dr. Matt established the concept of Smiles Dentistry for Kids before we opened our doors in the summer of 2007. Our team places an emphasis on providing quality care for all children and teens but the overall experience for the entire family is a priority. Our highly skilled team takes pride in getting to know all of our families and getting them involved in oral healthcare. We value attention to detail and individualized care based on current best-practice evidence.
Dr. Matt graduated from the UMKC School of Dentistry and went directly into his postgraduate residency program in Pediatric Dentistry at Northwestern University and Childrens Memorial Hospital. Upon completion of his rigorous training Dr. Matt became a board certified pediatric dentist with the ABPD (American Board of Pediatric Dentists). In his free time, Dr. Matt loves to travel and spend time with his growing family.
I love pediatric dentistry. Not everybody gets to do exactly what he or she wants for a career. Im so lucky to have this unique opportunity to share my knowledge and skills with the community. Through education I hope that we can reduce the occurrence of dental decay in kids and do so in a super fun environment that doesnt feel clinical. Children are amazing and working with such diverse personalities requires a lot of flexibility and a lot of energy. I truly feel that working with children is what I was meant to do and look forward to the many years to come.

After we left today, both kids were commenting about how nice everyone is at Smiles Dentistry for Kids. Matt and his entire staff are so capable and nice. I've never had an issue with my ever changing insurance the business is run like a fine oiled machine.

The staff and Dr. Matt are all so good at working with our kiddos! They guided us through our appointment for our three and two-year-old and made it so easy. My kids were very nervous but the staff made them so comfortable. The office is cheerful and Entertaining and very clean. These things should all be a given in a pediatric dental practice, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I would recommend this practice to anyone with little kids!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Smiles Dentistry. Dr Matt and his amazing team have been so great with our kids. They are professional, welcoming, calming and extremely knowledgeable and are able to communicate to our little ones and us the importance of dental care. Our daughter actually looks forward to her dental visits! The office is very clean and the kids token for a special surprise at the end is such a wonderful touch! We would highly recommend Dr Matt and team to anyone looking for a great dentist for their kiddos!

This place is excellent! My kids actually look forward to going to the dentist. The staff are all amazing and Dr. Matt goes above and beyond for his patients. He even came in late one night when my son had a dental emergency caused by a fall. I can't recommend them highly enough.

My 3 kids LOVE to go visit Dr. Matt and his staff. My 9 year old is a given as he's very easy, but my 3 and 5 year old are very Particular about who interacts with them so it's a compliment that they have no issue going!

My kids love everything about this place except maybe having to get cavities filled. However, no matter what services we have to have done our experience is always extremely positive. We have never gone anywhere else and have no desire to change. You can tell that everyone who works here loves their job and it comes across in the service you receive. Thanks for making sometimes stressful situations not so bad. You all our amazing.

Dr. Matt and his team are the very best. They are a very bright, cheery, and helpful group of people. My son has been going there for 13+ years and I have never had anything but a positive experience. They even have gone above and beyond helping us get to the bottom of an issue. We appreciate the entire staff and will be super sad when my son ages out.

Thank you to Dr Matt and amazing staff from front desk to the hygienist. Our visit always is hustle free and everybody is attentive to kids needs. I have a child with special needs and scared of healthcare people but Dr Matt and the whole office always go out of their way to make sure my son gets great care and meet his needs. I cannot say enough about this office you have to visit there and experience it. I am so grateful. I once never thought I would ever be able to find a perfect dentist for my kids and Dr Matt is that answer we have been searching and praying for!

My kids love coming to the dentist! They have been coming since they were a year old and Dr. Matt and his staff always make it a great experience. My kids were anxious when they started (as little ones are) but they get better and better with each visit. They love the prizes they get at the end and are excited to watch the TVs on the ceiling. We love Smiles Dentistry for Kids!
