Dr. Mia Pham Sanchez de Lozada was born in Vietnam. She left Vietnam when she was 9 and has established herself in Northern Virginia. Dr. Mia is a graduate of The Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University, one of the highest rated dental schoolin the country. She graduatedwith Magna Cum Laude honors. Prior to dental school, Dr. Mia attended the School of Engineering at Virginia Commonwealth University on a full academic scholarship. She received her Bachelor of Science degree with Magna Cum Laude honors in Biomedical Engineering.
Dr. Mia strongly believes that going to the dentist should be a pleasant experience. That is why she has made patient comfort one of her top priorities and has invested in the latest dental technologies like the Waterlase Iplus laser to help make the patients dental experience as comfortable as possible. Dr. Mia likes to keep up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry and has completed hundreds of hours in continuing education. Dr. Mia has a wide range of experience in all areas of dentistry, from preventative and cosmetic dentistry to implants, Invisalign and root canal therapy.
Her approach to your treatment starts with patiently listening to you. Thenafter a complete and thorough examination, she reviews the diagnosis, discuss treatment options and answers any questions you may have regarding your individual dental needs.
Dr. Mia Pham Sanchez de Lozada is a member of theAmerican Dental Association,American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry,Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Implant Association, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Virginia Dental Association, and Northern Virginia Dental Society. Dr. Mia has been providing dental services to patients for over 15 years.
When Dr. Mia is not in the office caring for patients, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and exploring different restaurants in the local Washington Metro area with her husband and daughter Lilly.

My admiration and appreciation for Mia and her team grows with each visit. Mia and her entire staff are inspired, enthusiastic, and professional. This is the practice you'll want, if keeping your natural teeth is important to you. Very proactive care, yet very low key and unstressful. The office is constantly getting new technologies, so it's very modern, and the very friendly staff is held to a very high standard.

Dr. Mia and her team are so far beyond any other dental practice in the area. Seriously. They excitedly tell you about all of the continuing education they keep up on, and the mood of their office is always happy and upbeat. I've been coming to Smiles by Mia for years for everything from routine cleanings to a tooth implant. Dr. Mia and the staff are all super personable and know what they are doing. People think I'm crazy when I tell them that I kind of like going to the dentist - but it's true! The comfortable but professional atmosphere of the office gives me peace of mind and makes sitting in the chair feel almost relaxing. I had a routine cleaning with Beth today and she is so great! She was thorough and informative, answered all my questions, and was fun to talk to. Thank you, Beth! :)

I recently had my semi-annual dental checkup. Beth, the dental hygenist who is new to Dr. Mia's practice, was exceptional. Not only did she efficiently and painlessly clean and polish my teeth, she made several recommendations that made so much sense after she explained the reasonings behind them. I am always amazed at how everyone in the practice is so courteous, friendly and up-beat.

Late last year I decided to go check out Smiles By Mia (the reviews were primarily what drew me in). After having our first consultation, I was highly impressed with the level of professionalism and sense of comfort that Dr. Mia, along with the entire staff, had provided during the visit. Since then, I've came by at least 4 or 5 times and that same experience has been consistent throughout. No antiquated methods and technology either which is always a plus. I would highly recommend anyone to come by for a visit.

The name says it all, from the staff that greets you when you come in to the final results. Dr. Mia is personable and she is dedicated to her patients to create the smile you want. She is very detailed as well as creative in her work and really listens to your input. She is dedicated to her staff as well and it shows by the vibe in the office which is light cheerful. Definitely recommend this practice to anyone looking for a dentist who cares!
