Dr. Garcia has over 30 years of experience in implant, cosmetic, and reconstructive dentistry. He uses his extensive experience and skill to create healthy, beautiful smiles at Smiles By Garcia. He has completed thousands of life-changing smile makeovers that allow his patients to smile, laugh, eat with confidence and live their lives to the fullest. He is a 1989 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine . He has also trained extensively at The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and The Center for Occlusal Studies.
Dr. Garcia was born in Resistencia, Argentina. His parents moved the family to the United States soon after he was born. He spent over 40 years in the Philadelphia area. He has been in Texas for over 12 years and likes to say that he got here as soon as he could. He is fluent in English and Spanish. His mother, Nelida was a dentist and his father, Jose was a medical doctor. Both were great influences in his life and career path. Dr. Garcia grew up with the idea of pursuing healthcare in order to be able to help others. Obviously, he was most interested in dentistry.
Dr. Garcia has extensive experience creating beautiful, healthy smiles using dental implants, porcelain veneers, no-prep veneers, all-porcelain bridges, all-porcelain crowns, and full arch zirconia implant bridges. The amazing dental materials available today along with Dr. Garcias extensive training, experience and expertise allow him to create smile makeovers and full mouth reconstructions that are healthy, beautiful, durable which can be completed in 1-2 visits. He also has extensive experience providing all types of dental implant, cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry using different sedation dentistry techniques including nitrous oxide gas (laughing gas), oral conscious sedation (taking a sedative pill) and general anesthesia (provided by a medical anesthesiologist right in our office). He has successfully used these different sedation techniques for over 30 years to ease patient nervousness and fears about dental treatment. Dr. Garcia has helped thousands of people regain their smiles, their health, confidence and eliminate their dental fears.
Lisa is one of our expert Patient Coordinators. She helps our patients understand how SBG can best help them and helps answers all of their questions. Lisa has 20 years experience in dentistry and has helped thousands of people get the healthy, beautiful smile they have always wanted. She also has a personal appreciation for full mouth dentistry and understands the patients point of view since Dr. Garcia did an amazing Smile Makeover for her. When she is not in the office, Lisa enjoys, boating, stand-up paddleboarding, and saltwater fishing with her husband, Mike. She also has 2 cats.
Wendi is our expert Patient Finance Coordinator. She helps our patients find affordable options so they can get the healthy, beautiful smile they have always wanted. Wendi has been in dentistry for 6 years after switching from an extensive career in the finance and banking industry. Originally from Southwest Michigan, she has lived in Texas for 6 years. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, comedy and spending quality time with her family & friends as well as her 2 dogs Charlie & Lacey.
Allison is one of our expert Patient Coordinators. She is probably the first voice you hear when you call Smiles By Garcia and the first face you see when you come into our office. Her favorite part of dentistry is seeing how happy our patients are with the amazing Smile Makeovers she helps Dr. Garcia provide. She is from Ohio but loves living in Texas. She has 3 children who keep her very busy. She also enjoys fishing, camping and watching lots of movies with her kids. She also likes to go for a walk with her dogs, Cali and Grace and enjoy the beautiful trails in Austin.

Adriel moved from Cuba to Austin 8 years ago. He learned both English and dentistry when he moved to Austin. He enjoys interacting with our patients and educating them about their smiles. In his free time, he likes to hike the Austin trails and go to the gym but his favorite past-time is trying new restaurants.
Casey is one of our expert Dental Assistants. She takes great care of our patients and ensures they are comfortable and relaxed. Dr. Garcia and our patients love her easygoing, comforting manner and attention to detail. She started her dental career in 2000 with the US Air Force and has been helping dental patients for 17 years. Dentistry was a natural career choice for her because she loves helping people and wants them to have positive dental experiences so they can enjoy the benefits of a healthy, beautiful smile. While Casey has lived in many parts of the world, she loves living in Austin. She is also a huge Denver Broncos fan. She has three children and enjoys being outdoors with her family and doing arts & crafts with her children.
Alex recently graduated dental assisting school and moved from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He formerly worked as an EMT on an ambulance but now enjoys working with Dr. Garcia and learning something new from him every day. Alex enjoys rock climbing, hiking, camping, exploring Austin or just relaxing and watching movies with his girlfriend.
Marianna is a native Texan with family roots here from the mid 1800s. She has lived and worked in Austin when Bee Caves Road from Hwy 71 was two narrow lanes. Many years. She enjoys a well rounded life including her association with Smiles By Garcia since 2011 as a cosmetic dental hygienist and as Dr. Garcias dental patient. Her dental career began in general dentistry, expanding to periodontal work and now cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Her commitment to her patients is from a professional and personal point of view. This is because she knows how it feels and how to care for her own complete Smile Makeover from Dr. Garcia. Marianna sincerely enjoys helping her patients in keeping their teeth healthy and smile beautiful. She earned a second degree in. Business Science Management and understands the commitment and value of investing in quality dental health care. She currently lives in Dripping Springs, loves to dance, writes poetry and has been involved with philanthropic causes for decades.
