Dr. Ira Rothstein was born and raised in Hollywood, FL along with his brother, Adam. He loves South Florida, and he always knew he wanted to live and work in the community where he grew up. He calls meeting Dr. Wohlgemuth and becoming a partner in the practice a dream come true.

After graduating from Pine Crest School, he studied at Emory University, where he received a bachelors degree in biology. Pursuing his dream to practice dentistry in South Florida, he came home to attend dental school at Nova Southeastern University, where he received his certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science degree for his research on temporary anchorage device.

He met his wife, Lindy, after a mutual friend convinced her to come watch his team play basketball. After sharing a victory water-ice and some good conversation, the rest was history! The couple have a son, Oliver, and a daughter, Andy. When not in the office, Dr. Rothstein enjoys playing guitar, running, and relaxing at the beach. Although hes a Floridian, his biggest passion is snow skiing!

Dr. Peter Wohlgemuth was born and raised with his three brothers in Waterbury, CT. His father and two older brothers paved the way for a career in medicine, but he decided early on that he wanted to help people smile.

After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree and graduating cum laude from the University of Pennsylvanias School of Engineering and Applied Science in 1980, he attended dental school at Boston University, graduating in the top 5 percent of his class in 1984. While attending his orthodontic residency at Boston University, he was admitted to the National Dental Honor Society and published his research, Orthodontic Treatment and How it Relates to TMJ in the American Journal of Orthodontics.

As part of his commitment to provide the highest standards of orthodontic care to his patients, Dr. Wohlgemuth maintains memberships in a number of professional organizations to stay on the cutting edge of changes and technological advances:

Hes especially proud that he and the Smiles by Dr. W and Dr. R team have received numerous awards for their accomplishments with suresmile. He was asked to be one of the few orthodontists nationwide to serve on the suresmile advisory board. He prides himself on staying ahead of the curve and has enjoyed teaching other orthodontists around the country about virtual treatment and the future of orthodontics.

He met his wife, Ilene, at the University of Pennsylvania and theyve been married for 40 years. Close family ties have always been an important value for the couple, which is what brought them to Florida in 1986. Their son Josh and his wife Sinead have been married since 2019. Josh is an oral surgeon practicing in LA. and Sinead is a pediatric dentist at Childrens Hospital LA. Their daughter Michelle and her husband Brett reside in New York City with their baby, Landon.

An avid golfer in his free time, he shares that passion with his son. While exercise, music, the Miami Heat, and electronics help Dr. Wohlgemuth relax, spending time with his wife and two children is what he enjoys most and values outside the office.

Together, his family takes pride in being involved in the local community. By supporting many organizations, local sports teams, area schools, synagogues, churches, and many patients endeavors, hes been able to give back to the community that has helped him fulfill many of his dreams

Mariagnes takes great pride in managing an office widely known in the community for excellence and ability to exceed patient expectations. She has been a part of our team since 2013. The practice provides her with a fun environment in which to work with a great team, which centers on Dr. W and Dr. R providing the absolute best quality of care for their patient family. Since her daughter and son-in-law live in Bucks County, PA she always looks forward to a visit in the Northeast during her vacation time.

Lori has been working with our team since 1990, and she loves helping Dr. W and Dr. R create beautiful smiles. Building lasting relationships with her patients is one of her favorite aspects of the job, as well as working with a super special team. In her personal time, she enjoys her family, especially her grandchildren and her pets. They all enjoy watching various sports, especially football. She plays fantasy football with her kids and their friends and has a blast! She also enjoys reading, church activities, and a good movie.

As a member of the team since 2008, I can honestly say, I love going to work! Our team is like One Big Happy Teeth Loving Family. Originally from Indianapolis Indiana, I relocated in 1992, one week before Hurricane Andrew Eeeek! I still love visiting my Indy home with my 2 kids Hayli and Dhanin. My kiddos are also patients of the Doctors and they both have beautiful amazing Smiles. Drs W & R are the absolute best! We have the best patients and I always aim to do my best to ensure that each patients visit to our office is a pleasant and wonderful experience.

Cristen is so very happy to be a part of the Smiles team. She has over 13 years of experience in the medical field. However, orthodontics is her new found adventure. She loves seeing the progress of our patients.Orthodontics is truly an art form. Cristen has been married for 15 years to her husband, Brian, who has a local business here in Fort Lauderdale. Cristen and her husband Brian have one daughter, Dakotah, who is their true love and passion!

Sarah has been with the practice since 2019 and takes great pride in her work. She has a young son and enjoys going to Disney with her family any chance she can get! While Sarah is a full-time mother as well as an MBA student, Sarah is our dedicated insurance coordinator. Sarah enjoys watching our patients smiles change right before her eyes and loves helping our patients families with their needs.

While Pam has spent 20 years in the dental and orthodontic world, and joined our team in 2011. In her time with Dr. W and Dr. R, she is constantly amazed by the care taken with each family and the final results of our patients. She still delights in learning with these doctors each and every day. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children and especially her grandchildren, who bring a new level of joy to her life.

From working in the DMV, being a Park Ranger, and driving a zamboni, Tiffany has had many different careers but she finally found her passion as an Orthodontic Assistant. After receiving her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification in 2019 Tiffany worked as a general dental assistant and after meeting Dr. W and Dr R and the team she was hooked on orthodontics and helping to create beautiful smiles. In her spare time Tiffany and her husband and two sons love spending time in the Keys out on the water reeling in the catch of the day.

Sandra practiced general dentistry in Venezuela before moving to Florida. She always had an interest in orthodontics, which led her to Dr. W and Dr. R in 2011. She learns something new every day working with them. Orthodontics helps bring joy to people with a new smile they can be proud of. For some it opens a new world, which gives her joy as an assistant. As a wife and mother of two, her weekends are filled with outdoor activities and family events.

Debbie has been a member of the Smiles by Dr. W and Dr. R team since 2006. She graduated from dental school in Peru in 1996, and shes glad to be able to work in the field she is passionate about! She loves helping create beautiful smiles through orthodontics. She has learned many new techniques while working with Dr. W and Dr. R, and the doctors push her to become a better professional every day. Outside the practice, she is a devoted wife and mother to three kids. She is passionate about track and field and offers her time on the field as a coach. She loves to travel and meet new people, see new places, and see what other countries have to offer. She believes in love, which allows us the opportunity to open absolutely every door for a good life.

After relocating from Westchester, PA to Florida in 2018, Jessica joined the team as our Records Technician. Jessica enjoys being one of the first faces our patients see, capturing their smiles and creating memories. Born and raised in West Chester, PA, Jessica decided to move down to South Florida 3 years ago. In her spare time, she enjoys watching her favorite Philly sports teams, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends.
