Dr. Daniel Javaheri brings years of experience and second-to-none patient care to the state-of-the-art Smiles by Design Dental practice in San Diego, CA. Under his care, thousands of patients have been given the gift of a healthy, beautiful smile.
Since graduating from the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry, Dr. Javaheri has embarked on a very comprehensive (and busy) practice of general, cosmetic, and implant dentistry, both in the state of New York, and for the past several years, in Southern California where he settled in North San Diego County.
Dr. Javaheri has participated in extensive research and has been published by the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the UC Davis Medical Center. Additionally, he has pursued thousands of hours of continuing education in Lumineers cosmetic veneers, Invisalign, progressive orthodontics, and is also certified by the California Academy of Implant Dentistry. His participation in both research and continued clinical dentistry education, together demonstrate Dr. Javaheris commitment to his profession and more importantly, to the full-service treatment of his patients.
Dr. Sarah Younes graduated with distinguished honors from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry before returning to her hometown of San Diego, She cares for her patients as though they are her own family, and prides herself in practicing conservative and honest dentistry.
Dr. Younes believes in open communication, allowing her to create personalized treatment plans and focus on the needs of her patients. Her experience with the latest dental technology and focus on learning the improvements of dentistry provides efficient and modern treatment.

100% recommend Dr. Javaheri and team. From the warm welcome, to the clean state of the art office to the amazing care by Dr. Javaheri, our experience couldn't have been better. My wife and I have been going to Dr. Javaheri for a while now and have been completely happy and satisfied with the amazing experience. Recently my elderly father needed some work done and was not receiving the care he needed from his old dentist. I recommended Dr. Javaheri to him. He was anxious about going to another dentist, but his experience was nothing but excellent. Dr. Javaheri and team were so amazing with his treatment. I recently got a root canal/crown done by the folks at Smiles by Design and it went fantastically! The procedure was not as meticulous or painful as I had anticipated and the process went very smoothly. As someone who normally has anxiety with going to the dentist, Dr. J and his team have proved to me that there is nothing to worry about. They are by far the kindest and most talented people I've had the pleasure of being treated by. The immense patience and dedication they put towards treating their patience can be seen clear as day.

Dr. Racic did a phenomenal job with my crown. The temporary one held in place with no issues the whole two weeks while waiting for the permanent one. The actual crown itself feels perfect so great job all around. I used to go to another dentist who did my first crown. Their temporary crown came off the first night and the permanent one came loose too after one week. The staff at SDDSD is absolutely awesome too.

As someone who has major anxiety when it comes to dental visits, I am now wishing I came to see Dr. Javaheri way sooner. I need a new crown for a broken tooth and a cosmetic procedure in order to get my smile and teeth back in great condition. I am so happy with the treatment plan Dr. J recommended and excited to get to work. The hygienist, Stephen (not sure of the spelling), was also extremely nice and make great recommendations for my home dental care. Will definitely refer friends/family here.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the dental assistant was so sweet and lovely. The doctor was also very calm and informative, I felt comfortable asking questions. Everyone seems super nice so far so I definitely recommend this place.

Three months ago Dr. Javehari placed an implant (back molar). He did a great job. I have had no problems with the tooth. My bite is good and the spacing with the adjacent tooth is perfect. Also, the office personnel are wonderful and all do a great job of making the time in the office as safe and comfortable as possible.

My entire family, including my 90 year old mother, have been going to Dr J for several years. The entire staff is friendly and extremely caring. They have taken extraordinary care of my 90 year old mother. She loves everyone at his office. Dr. J has constantly gone above and beyond to work on her failing teeth. Dr. J. is a fantastic dentist!! I would highly recommend Dr. J and Smiles By Design!! You will not find a better dental office.

Fantastic dentist and amazing staff. I can't imagine going to anyone else after being here. Just a perfect atmosphere every visit. There isn't a single person with a bad attitude or even a mediocre attitude. They care and pick up conversations where you left off even after 6 months. I just can't say enough!!

The absolute best!! I have been going to Smiles By Design San Diego for years and I have not had any bad experiences. From front desk staff, to assistants, Dr Javaheri and even the facility itself I have nothing but great things to say about them. I recently visited them and I was a little worried about the whole COVID situation but I honestly I felt safer than anywhere else being in there just watching how careful and protected they are. I have also sent all my friends there and they have loved every visit of theirs. Thank you Smiles By Design for being so amazing.
