After practicing family dentistry for nearly four years in Spring Lake, Michigan, Dr. Boone went on to pursue his desire to open his own family and cosmetic practice in his hometown of Grand Rapids. Dr. Boone remains committed to providing his patients with the utmost in dental care, from patient comforts to state-of-the-art technology. Your smile is his top priority!
Dr. Boone keeps abreast of current dental knowledge by maintaining memberships with the American Dental Association (ADA), the Michigan Dental Association (MDA) and the West Michigan Dental (WMDDA) and attending regular continuing education courses. Dr. Boone and his wife Stefanie have six children and enjoy traveling with family and spending time attending their childrens wrestling, football and soccer events.

With her years of experience in dental assisting, her comprehensive expertise allows her to complete patient care with the greatest success. She loves working closely with patients; keeping up with their lives and giving them a positive experience. In her spare time she loves to travel, loves camping and being outdoors. She tries to spend as much time as possible with her husband, family and friends.
Phyllis is a Dental Assistant at Smiles by Design. While her job is to see that Dr. Boone has the necessary tools to do the task at hand, her top priority is seeing that the patient feels warm and comfortable throughout their time in the dental chair.
Brittany is a Registered Dental Hygienist at Smiles by Design. She strives to make her patients' visits as welcoming and comfortable as possible. Her goal is to help her patients maintain their oral health through regular cleanings as well as education. She takes pride in her continuing hygiene education and looks forward to passing that knowledge along to her patients. Brittany loves meeting new people and finds joy in putting names with smiling faces as they walk through her door. In her spare time, she loves spending time outside with her husband, especially in the warm weather.
Karen is a Registered Dental Hygienist at Smiles by Design. Her relaxed demeanor makes patients feel at ease while being in a place that may not necessarily be their favorite. She loves to help people understand the importance of taking care of their smile. Karen lives in Grand Rapids and has two boys whom she loves to support in their many school and athletic activities.
Stefanie is the Executive Assistant at Smiles by Design and Dr. Boones wife. She is a graduate of Grand Valley State University, with a Bachelor's of Science in Group Science and Elementary Education.
Over the years, she has worked side-by-side with Dr. Boone, managing such areas as practice marketing, human resources, accounts payable, and practice consulting. She is always busy working to make your overall experience as a patient at Smiles by Design the best it can be! In her spare time, Stefanie keeps busy attending various Wrestling, Soccer and Football events and traveling with her family.

Every time I go to the facility the service is consistent. As in consistently excellent. Dr. Boone and his staff will take care of you.And by the way a five star rating is too low it needs to be a 12 star

The customer service at Smiles By Design is world class. They seek to help you feel as comfortable as possible during your visit. The team is kind and compassionate. They do not shame or cause you to feel badly, they just express that they are glad you are there. Every time I go into the office, the staff is very friendly and caring. I have never went to any medical or dental office before that offered a blanket to keep me warm during the procedure. They make sure your comfortable before, during and after plus they know my name so they give a more personal "family" type of vibe. I would not choose to go anywhere else and I recommend them to others.

Terrible color match on a crown that wasn't needed, except to book procedures that aren't necessary. Absolutely refused to correct and send crown back to lab, and I called and notified the office immediately and complained at EVERY visit for 5 years so this "oh if we knew there was a problem" is totally FALSE. I had all the amalgam removed from my mouth 20 years ago and this dentist thought I'd never know that he put amalgam back in my mouth under that crown. Dentist absolutely insists on making conversation about your life and as an introvert I found this chit-chat agonizing and unnecessary. I handed my bite guard to the dental assistant and asked to be careful with it because it's brittle, as soon as it was in her hands she flexed it in half and handed it back to me, She never wanted to inspect it for wear- they want you to spend more money in their office on appliances and procedures.

The one and only dentist that I trust to any dental work. He has been fantastic with all my dental needs. The office is friendly, clean, my appointments are not hours waiting. He is very efficient and he works patiently to make sure you are ok not a rush job. He explains clearly what's going on before the process. I highly appreciate the great work he does

I went in just yesterday (3/18) for my bi-yearly cleaning and once again, SBD, kills it. They are friendly, prompt, and honest. Collectively, they make going to the dentistry easy and enjoyable. Highly recommended to all. Great group of people.
