Dr. James Porter was born in Dayton, OH, and grew up in Birmingham, AL. He is married to the lovely Sharon Haygood of Decatur, AL and has two son's (Trey and Tyler) and a beautiful Daughter- n- Law (Erin). Tyler and Erin and reside in Seattle and Trey (James) in Vienna, Austria
He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Montevallo. Dr. Porter 's graduate work was at theUniversity of Alabama School of Dentistry.In order to stay abreast of the latest technical advancements in dentistry, Dr. Porter frequently attends workshops and seminars to ensure that his patients always have access to the newest technology available today. Dr. Porter is a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies for Cosmetic Dentistry.In 2010, Dr. Porter completed'Maxi Course', a 9-month dental implant course sponsored by the Medical College of Georgia. He later successfully completed the written exam to become eligible to complete the associate fellowship.In 2016, Dr. Porter was Credentialed as a Fellow with ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantologists) and AAID (American Academy of Implant Dentistry). He completed his CIRP (Comprehensive Implant Residency Program) in Bessemer, Alabama in 2016.
Dr. Jacob Turner is a graduate of the University of Alabama and earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He is an Albertville native and is thrilled to have the opportunity to serve patients in his hometown. Dr. Turner and his wife, Stacey, live in Albertville with their three children, Declan, Evie and Eleanor. Their family can frequently be found at Aggie events, the rec center ball fields and events for their church, Beulah Baptist.
Dr. Turner is dedicated to treating his patients with a caring and comprehensive approach to oral health. He believes in preventative dentistry and his goal is to increase the longevity of his patient's teeth in order to help each of them have a beautiful, healthy smile for life.
