Dr. Ira Mims was born and raised in Birmingham, AL. He joined the military after graduating high school where he first became interested in Dentistry. Prior to dental school Dr. Mims earned his Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene Degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in 2002. Dr. Mims has established himself as part of tradition of excellent care. He strives to bring his patients only the best that dentistry has to offer.
Dr. Mims went on to obtain his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in 2013. In addition to receiving an award for Excellence in Clinical Dentistry, he has also taken multiple elective classes in sedation dentistry, orthodontics, molar endodontics, and implants. This, along with his continuing education in cosmetic dentistry, has made him an extremely versatile dentist who is available to meet his patients vast variety of needs.

I really appreciate Dr.Mims and his office. My whole family and I come in for our dental needs. His prices are reasonable for cash patients. He really cares about his needs. And office is great and understandable!

I've been coming here for cleanings for a few years and it's been fine. This year, I no longer have dental insurance and didn't realize how much this office charges for cash pay. I just had to pay $150 for a dental cleaning, where other local dentists charge closer to $60. And the price for fillings was almost triple what I was quoted elsewhere. Needless to say, I will be going somewhere else in the future.

Had to go to another dentist after this dentist did some work on my mouth to fix the problems that this dentist created. I do not recommend this Dentist. They tell you 1 price and by the time you finish thousands are added unknowingly

First impressions are very important to me, that is why I feel compelled to post this review. This is not to reflect on anyone's great experiences with this Dentist office. This only my opinion for the little effort that was provided to me and my dental urgency. Called this Dental office the night prior, 11 minutes before they closed, and call went straight to an afterhours voicemail. I decided to leave a complete detailed message with my symptoms and my full name, heck I even spelled out my name in the voicemail message, mind you, I am in pain. I called again the next morning, same afterhours message, same message left. When I finally received a call 16 hours later... The lady on the phone was not very clear on what I wanted, did not even know my name, even though I left it several times clearly in their afterhours voicemail box. No empathy as to even caring to ask what my dental concern was. After telling her my name and what I wanted to be seen for, no options were offered, I was in control of the conversation. Wow! and I wonder why I am the one without a job? I am so tired of having to give a clue to people as to how to really be more emphatic when it comes to a client, or worse, when you have to tell them how to do their jobs.... which the Dentist who you are working for, is paying out of his pocket for your lack of empathy and knowledge of proper customer service etiquette. Please fire her or have someone throw her a clue.... I promised you, I can do her job, ten times better than your exceptional employee there Dr. Ira Mims. When your office staff gets a clue on how to handle proper customer etiquette, let's talk. You have my telephone number and my name. I left it several times in your afterhours voicemail. Or perhaps, if your employee was efficient enough, she may have written my name down, so you can use your hard earn money, to pay for an employee who really cares as much as you do about your dental patients. Or if you prefer, you can hire me under a short-term contract, and I can train your staff in customer service etiquette.

Dr. Mims is great. He is keeping my smile beautiful and healthy. He is the only dentist I trust with my teeth! If I ever moved out of the DFW or Texas, I'll make my semi-annual trip back to get my teeth check by his office!

Always have a great experience with him! I will drive miles just to see this guy. He's the only dentist that will NOT!! try to rip you off and take your money like most dentist places do. HE IS A GREAT DENTIST IF I LIVED IN ANOTHER STATE I WOULD FLY DOWN HERE JUST TO GET MY DENTAL WORK DONE.

My three children and myself have been coming to the facility for approximately two years now. Each visit is as if it was the first which is phenomenal!!!! Dr. Mims and his staff are very friendly, patient, professional, caring and very engaging with the patients !!!!

Dr. Mims and his staff do an amazing job at making you feel lake family and friends and not just like patient. The facilities are clean and the atmosphere is pleasant and calming. Dr. Mims and his staff are very professional and thorough. This is one dentist office I have actually enjoyed going to for my cleaning and orthodontic needs. I highly recommend them if you are in need of a great dental office.

Highly recommend Dr. Mims - he is an excellent dentist. A member of our family had an issue with an orthodontic retainer that was glued onto the front teeth, and they worked her in without an appointment on the same day, fixed the problem easily and painlessly, and also cleaned her teeth!! Talk about service! Not to mention that the office is clean, the staff members are friendly, and the location is convenient - right on Main Street in Lewisville. We have referred several of our friends and neighbors, and have only gotten positive feedback from them as well. Dr. Mims rocks!!!!

Wait, you're going to force someone to get a root canal when they specifically asked for you to pull it. And then you decline services to the patient because they didn't want a root canal and they leave with a numb mouth! Horrible Services!!!!!

Went to this dentist they forced me to get a root canal. I stated mulitple times i didnt want a root canal and just to pull the tooth and they refused to treat me due to not getting a root canal. They left my mouth numb and sawed on the tooth and released me
