Dr. Christy Dryden Head is a native of Hattiesburg and graduated from Hattiesburg High School. She attended to Louisiana State University where she majored in Chemistry and was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority.

Dr. Head attended dental school at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans where she received the Academy of General Dentistry Certificate of Merit Award and the American Association of Orthodontists Award on graduation in 2002. She was also awarded a scholarship from the International College of Dentists which sponsored a surgical and prosthodontics externship in Freiburg, Germany the summer prior to graduation.

Dr. Head practiced as a General Dentist for over 3 years in Denham Springs, LA prior to her orthodontic residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Upon graduation, she was a part-time associate of practices in Meridian and Philadelphia prior to opening her practice, Smiles Ahead Orthodontics, in January of 2009.

Dr. Head is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, and has served as President for the South MS Dental Society. She stays up to date on the newest developments in orthodontics and dentistry by attending frequent seminars and conventions. Her experience as a general dentist aids her in better coordinating patients' orthodontic care with treatment to be done by their general dentist or other specialists.

Ashton graduated from ADAA and retains a certificate in CPR and radiology. She has been employed at Smiles Ahead Orthodontics since September of 2019. Ashton is happily married and enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends and family.

Ashlyn graduated from Pearl River Community College as a certified dental assistant in July of 2017. She retains a certificate in CPR and radiology. She worked as a general dental assistant for 2 years. She has been employed at Smiles Ahead Orthodontics since March of 2019. She enjoys spending time with family and friends outdoors.

Jordan graduated from Pear River Community College with an associate's degree in applied science. She also graduated from ADAA, and retains a certificate in CPR and radiology. She has been employed at Smiles Ahead Orthodontics since April 2021. She enjoys being a fur mom and aunt.
