Dr. Burtenshaw is an Idaho native; he grew up in the Idaho Falls area where he graduated from Bonneville High School. He received an Associate Degree at Brigham Young University, and then received his Bachelors degree from Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID. He went on to receive his Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2003, from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. And continued on to Nova Southeastern University where he received his specialty training in Pediatric dentistry, and completed his residency at both the Miami Childrens Hospital and Joe DiMaggios Childrens Hospital.
Dr. Burtenshaw is just a big kid himself so when hes not having fun with the children he treats locally, or traveling throughout the United States teaching and assisting other specialists in the Pediatric Industry. He loves to be with his wife Natalie and their four children taking family vacations, coaching little league baseball, spear fishing, golfing, traveling, and is still a strong Bonneville High School supportive for his graduating High School.
Dr. Burtenshaw is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists, the American Dental Association, and the Idaho State Board of Dentistry and is Board Eligible by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

We absolutely love this place, my 4 year old had her front teeth removed in December at the hospital and she still wanted to see her same dentist after all that. She lost a cap and they replaced it the next day for her. Now here we are just went in for her cleaning along with her baby sister who is 2 and it went great again I cannot say enough great things about this place and their staff all so sweet and patient I definitely recommend taking your littles here!

So happy with the staff and the Dentist. Absolutely love bringing my children here. They are patient and understanding with young humans. They always explain The process and what's to be expected. They always fit all 3 of my young humans at the same time. Won't be going anywhere else anytime soon.

In the bathroom there is a cute little toilet and sink for the kiddos which has been super convenient! This is the first dentist and only dentist we have taken the kids too and we love them!

The doctor is so dang friendly and listened to my concerns. He made me feel that my concerns were valid and didn't just brush them off. The assistants were super nice as well. The front desk staff were also so pleasant and kind! I love that I can bring my kids here and feel comfortable as a parent.

They are very patient with my 3 year old who is very scared of doctors and dentist but they definitely make it less scary and even fun the staff is very sweet and understanding definitely love this place especially for my daughter

The staff here is really friendly and professional. They make you feel like they really care about their patients. We had a dental emergency with my daughter and the staff was really understanding and went above and beyond to help. Especially the front desk girls!!

Corinna did so well with my daughter Emma. I was so nervous with this being her first dentist appt but Corinna made the whole experience very comfortable for us both. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Hands down amazing!!! Super friendly staff and no one pressured my daughter or forced her to do anything she didn't want to do. I was very impressed with how gentle and understanding they were. Also, after my daughter's cleaning today she has a nasty fall at Preschool and is bleeding all over. I called them up frantic because I'm worried about her knocking a tooth out, a chipped tooth or even loose teeth from the fall. They see her right away and are joking with me that she just wanted two visits in one day. LOL The doctor examined her mouth and teeth and reassured me she was okay and even gave his recommendation of soft foods for the next few days and children's Tylenol for the pain. WAY to go Smiles 4 Kid's! Highly recommend!!!

I've been visiting dentists in the area for a very long time, Smiles 4 Kids for Blackfoot has been the best experience hands down. They are ALL so kind and patient. They made my sons first dental experience be super enjoyable and now he LOVES coming to the dentist. 10 stars.

They always get us scheduled when we need in and make sure we get in for our yearly checks. The girls up front are super friendly and helpful and the dentists are patient and great with my kids!

I'm 13 and when I was 12 I went to a checkup cuz I have shark teeth and one of the dentists chipped my front adult tooth while cleaning in-between the teeth now all my front teeth are crooked
