She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree summa cum laude (meaning 'with highest distinction) at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. She graduated at the top of her class and received the Excellence in Care award while at Boston University.
Dr. Banavar adheres to the highest technical standards of patient care and enjoys seeing her patients smile confidently. She is passionate about providing superior dental care and is a perfectionist in making sure every procedure has an excellent result.
The doctor specializes in cosmetic dentistry, implant crowns, crowns, bridges, veneers and dentures. She is a certified Invisalign provider and has completed numerous patient programs to successful results.
She earned her Bachelor's of Science in Dental Hygiene from West Virginia University in 2011. She spent the next two years working directly with patients and expanding her skills as a dental hygienist while taking prerequisite classes for her doctorate. Dr. Matini then went back to school in 2013 to continue her education at West Virginia University, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She has been working with patients ever since.
Dr. Matini is passionate about helping her patients improve their dental health. She is dedicated to providing excellent care to every patient. Dr. Matini wants her patients to feel comfortable, listened to, and supported when they come to her for dental care. She treats every patient like family and makes sure they feel cared for.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Matini also loves to give back to the community, which is why she has participated in the 'Give Kids a Smile' program to help underserved children improve their dental health and confidence. She has also raised over five thousand dollars for the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry 's charitable program 'Give Back a Smile,' which helps victims of domestic violence obtain restorative dental work.
When she's not working with patients or helping her community, Dr. Matini enjoys relaxing with her husband and their two children. She especially likes spending time outdoors jogging with her children.
Dr. Tran graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1999. He returned to his home state, California, and practiced there for 8 years prior to relocating to Virginia in 2008. Dr. Tran is committed to learning and attends extensive continuing education courses throughout the year. Dr. Tran has focused much of his training toward Implantology (dental implants) and Root Canal Therapy.
Dr. Abril graduated from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri where he received his degree in periodontics and Master of Science in dentistry (research). During his time as a resident Dr. Abril was a clinical instructor at Southern Illinois University. He would later practice privately for two years in Bogot, Colombia where he holds a degree in general dentistry. He continued practicing general dentistry in Northern Virginia for five years where he discovered his passion for periodontics and focused patient care.
During his periodontal training, Dr. Abril acquired clinical experience in all aspects of non-surgical and surgical periodontal procedures such as scaling and root planing (deep cleanings), bone grafting around teeth and implants, plastic surgery for teeth with gum recession and for teeth with poor gum quality, as well as crown lengthening procedures. He is fully trained in dental implant surgery. He has committed himself to improving the quality of peoples lives by treating the diseases that cause tooth loss and contribute to many overall health problems.

Excellent service and experience. I wanted to utilize my insurance prior to next month's yearly renewal of benefits. The doctor assessed my teeth and allotted time to assist towards fixing my teeth within my coverage. The dentist were thorough, compassionate, and very detail oriented. I am very thankful for the great service and them working within my budget. Thank you so much. I appreciate it greatly.

Everyone was friendly at the practice. Dr. Park was very knowledgeable, skilled, and kind. She was gentle with my teeth. She refined one of my crowns because I was having sensitivity and discomfort and I haven't had sensitivity and discomfort since she worked on it. She took off all my coffee stains. Highly recommended!

This place is AWFUL! I scheduled appts via ZocDoc which is not integrated into their office system. So, appt confirmations were not aligned. Also, they never sent me paperwork ahead of time. When I got to the office, they asked me to wash my hands, but their bathroom was disgusting! It was wet and dirty and didn't look like it had been cleaned in a while. As a 1st time patient, they also asked me to take X-rays. I told them I had already had X-rays this year and asked me last dental practice to send it to them. However, the front desk insisted they had not received them. And, the hygienist insisted I take new X-rays. The dentist came in also, and was very animated and insistent on the X-rays. I would've been fine letting them take the x-rays but the dentist spoke in a very loud voice, almost yelling at me and was very animated and jarring for a small dental practice. I extricated myself from the situation and left. I would not recommend this practice at all. There are plenty of dentists in the area who are more considerate in how they approach their patients. This practice is not one of them.

This will be a four part review. Today's review 9/12/2022. Dr Abril was serious, proactive and very informative. With a universal 18 point x-ray he gave me an extensive, thorough and clear explanation of what to expect including the stages; deep cleaning, tooth extraction, recovery and repair. His dental assistant, Mariam, was absolutely wonderful, empathetic, and thorough as well...probably the highlight of my visit. His staff at the reception desk, especially Ramone, were also wonderful. He took the time to help me understand the details of today's examination and what was to come in the future visits, including the costs and insurance coverage. I'm very pleased so far! I have three more appointments and I am fully aware that the coming stages will be painful, but Mariam was careful to let me know in advance. Thank you SmileOn! Review part 2: After the first half of my deep cleaning there was a notable visual difference in my teeth. The right side was very clean, even between my lower front teeth where they're very crooked. It was also painless with no discomfort during the ultrasonic cleaning process. Granted, the anesthesia did the job. I am writing this review before the anesthesia's worn off. In any case, Great job Dr Abril! Great job Pramond! Great job Carla! Great job Peresa, today's dental assistant!

I cannot thank my dental hygienist, Amanda, enough! I was told I had a couple of cavities, and Amanda took the time to pull up my x-rays and show me where my cavities were, and really walked me through some things that could be contributing to them (aside from the obvious flossing). She really helped me understand the "why" behind her recommendations, and she took a lot of time to help educate me during my visit. For the first time, I feel like I left the dentist with a better understanding of how to be proactive about my oral care-- not just the standard floss and brush regularly. She is a huge reason why I choose Smile On! Also, the front office staff is continually friendly and super helpful in explaining all my insurance and visit summary information for me (and they let me keep my pen each time :)). My dental assistant was also wonderful during my visit (I did not catch her name), but she was very efficient and attentive to my sensitive teeth. Overall, I highly recommend Smile On! Thank you for making the dentist less scary!

Front desk staff was friendly & I was checked- in promptly. The office was clean and the entire staff was friendly & professional. This is my 3rd rountine visit and each time my experience is exceptional! I would definitely recommend this practice. Easy parking & extended hours are available.

False advertising. Website states they offer payment plans for uninsured patients but when I call they said they don't and you have to get insurance or pay out of pocket. The replied stating they can't offer payment plans for new patients but when I called the receptionist specifically stared they do not offer payment plans at all and you would have to apply for care credit. I do not want care credit and that is kot a payment plan that is financing. Website says they offer payment plans, not that they won't offer it to new patients. I will not remove my review like they are asking.

I came to SmileOn Dentistry after my previous dentist retired and sold his practice. The office staff at SmileOn is so friendly and Dr. Park is a caring, informative dentist. She takes the time to listen to any concerns and make suggestions. I recommend SmileOn for anyone needing a dentist.

I do not like going to the dentist generally but SmileOn Dentistry in Centreville makes it simple, painless and uncomplicated for me. The cleaning, the polishing, flossing and application of the fluoride were all done so well. I thank the staff for taking great care of me. I also like the friendly staff. Keep up the great work.

Dr. Park and staff were all fantastic and very nice! It was like the chick-fil-a version of the dentist. It was the most painless dentist appointment I've ever had (literally and figuratively, except that my insurance didn't cover more haha). Dr. Park explained what was going on with my tooth and explained her treatment plan to me. She let me ask all my questions and was very personable. She had a soft touch as well while working in my mouth. They even stayed late to work on my treatment as much as they could. I'm really happy with the later hours they are open as it's hard for me to take off much from work. Her receptionist even called me to come back because I forgot my prescription because they knew I'd need my pain meds. I hope to make this place my permanent dentist.
