Dr. Parks graduated from Loma Linda School of dentistry in 1990 with a degree in general dentistry. After graduating he moved to Modesto, CA and worked for seven years. In 1997 he moved to Aztec and purchased the practice from Dr. Hendrickson.
Jennifer is a local of the area who worked as an assistant for Dr. Parks before going to hygiene school at San Juan College. After working in other offices in the area she came back to work with Dr. Parks. She's glad to be a part of the dental team serving her patients.

This man and his staff are absolutely amazing in every way, and to say they do great work would be a terrible understatement. These miracle workers gave me my smile back!

I've been going to Smilemaker Dental since 2017, after I had multiple bad experiences with various dentists in Durango. Dr. Parks is my dentist and Jen is my hygienist. They are both the BEST! Dr. Parks is great at what he does, always very thorough and willing to answer questions patiently. Even when I'm getting some major work done, his manner helps put me at ease during what would normally be a stressful experience. All the work he's done on my teeth has been outstanding. Jen is, by far, the most gentle and meticulous hygienist I've ever had. Almost every time I've gone to another hygienist my gums have been sore for the rest of the day, not so with Jen! My teeth and gums actually feel better after an appointment with her. On top of that, she's always friendly and fun to talk to. All the other people at Smilemaker are friendly and helpful, and their office environment is pleasant and welcoming. I cannot recommend Smilemaker enough! -Anthony Olinger
