Dr. Vicky Athanasiou is a born and bred proud New Yorker. She graduated from Stony Brook Dental in 2015. Since then, she has taken advanced education courses notably in cosmetic dentistry and implant placement. Her passion is to improve peoples smiles both functionally and cosmetically. She started SMILELOUNGE with a vision to a set a new standard in dentistry.
After working for several years in private practice, Dr. Vicky noticed a common recurring theme: patients are very scared of the dentist! Her goal is to change that by providing a soothing environment for her patients, where they can relax and actually enjoy their visit to the dentist.

Dr. Farrokh received his Bachelor of Science from York University in his hometown of Toronto, Canada. He earned his DDS degree at NYU College of Dentistry and completed his specialty training in Endodontics at NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn.
During his training, he served on the Resident Expert ADVISORY council with the Foundation for Endodontics, where he helped determine how the specialty can best serve, and engage with, a new generation of endodontists.
Dr. Daria Ameri is a general dentist who is committed to providing the highest quality care to her patients. She received her doctorate degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. Dr. Ameri then completed further training at New York- Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. There, she gained invaluable experience in treating patients with a variety of backgrounds and complexities. She also worked alongside Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Pediatrics to treat patients with dental emergencies and facial traumas.
Dr. Ameri is passionate about education and staying up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry. She has continued to take countless continuing education courses, allowing her to be skilled in all facets of dentistry, including facial aesthetics, orofacial pain, and surgery. She has also been involved in multiple research projects in the fields of dental materials, facial aesthetics, implantology, and oral medicine, traveling to conferences domestically and internationally to present her research.
Dr. Masih Shahlaie is a board-certified Periodontist Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology. He received his dental degree in 1996 from the Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, where he discovered his passion for Periodontics. Dr. Shahlaie subsequently completed his post-graduate specialty program in Periodontics and obtained his Master of Science from Loma Linda University in 2001.
He has served as an assistant professor at Loma Linda University and has also served as an examiner for Arizona State Board for Oral Sedation Licensure. Dr. Shahlaie is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, and General Dental Council.
