Hi everyone, I am Dr. Alma Sanchez. A little bit about my path to SmileHavenMy dental career started in 2005. Fast forward to 2012, when I earned my Periodontal degree in Mexico. I worked as a Periodontist for several years before getting married and moving to Southern California. I worked as a dental assistant for a couple of years and eventually realized my passion is to perform dental treatments and be more involved with my patients oral health. This led me to pursue my degree as a Dental Hygienist graduating from Concorde Career College in 2019.

Away from work, I have a healthy addiction to practicing hot yoga! I am a big fan of CorePowerYoga, as they have various locations around San Diego. I also enjoy scoping out all the new coffee spots around the city, in search of my favorite lattes!

Im a southern California native who has called San Diego home since 1996. I obtained my undergraduate, dental, and orthodontic residency degrees; all from UCLA. In my off time, I enjoy the outdoors with my four children, especially hiking in the eastern Sierras. I can deliver smiles for all ages with a variety of different treatment options including traditional braces, clear or gold brackets, SLX aligners, Clear Correct aligners, and removable and fixed appliances.
