Dr. Grace Lee, the owner of Smilee Dental, strives to deliver the highest standards of modern dentistry by leveraging her extensive knowledge, experience and the latest technology to help ensure her patients receive the utmost care in all areas of dental health. She is well known for her kind heart and gentle hands, which help her provide a unique, memorable dental health care experience.
Dr. Lee was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, until moving to the United States at the age of 13. She is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree, and she received her Master of Biomedical Science degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. She further advanced her education at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in Newark, New Jersey.
During her fourth year of dental school, Dr. Lee was selected to participate in the CODE (Community Oriented Dental Education) program, where she was able to expand her knowledge, skills and experience as a practicing dentist serving the dental needs of the underserved in the Atlantic City, New Jersey area. After working as a dental associate for many years, she decided to pursue her passion to open and lead her own dental practice to deliver her philosophy of the highest quality dental care to the northern and central New Jersey communities. Dr. Lee is dedicated to making a difference in the world, one smile at a time, and continues to find ways to contribute to the communities where she belongs.
Dr. Lee is affiliated with the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, CDS and American Academy of Clear Aligners. She belongs to the elite group of dentists led by Dr. David Galler, known as Reingage, which provides more than 10% of all Invisalign cases in the US. She continues to enhance her knowledge and craft by earning over 500+ hours of specialized continuing education over the past few years.
Outside of her profession, Dr. Lee enjoys swimming, playing golf, tennis and spending time with her beloved family and friends. She is an award-winning pianist, having had her first recital in Livingston, New Jersey and concerts at Carnegie Hall in New York City. She is also an avid reader and always welcomes a good recommendation!
Dr. Kim graduated from Yonsei University College of Dentistry in South Korea and completed residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery in one of the most prestigious dental schools in South Korea. After marrying his wife, he moved to the United States and further advanced his education by graduating from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in Newark, New Jersey.
Since 2006, he has been treating a variety of patients who needed implants, wisdom teeth extractions, BOTOX and biopsy, in addition to practicing general dentistry. He has also effectively treated patients with temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder and obstructive sleep apnea.
Dr. Kim also enjoys volunteering in different countries to provide dental care to people in remote places in Russia, Vietnam and South Korea. He is also active in research and publication (Bony Window Approach for a Traumatic Bone Cyst on the Mandibular Condyle: A Case Report With Long-Term Follow-Up. Published in September 2016 issue of Journal of the Korean Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons).

I had severe toothache as it's been a while to see a dentist due to my dental phobia. A friend of mine recommended me to see Dr. Lee and I call her office last month. Her staff was very kind and made an appointment to see Dr. Lee immediately. The office was cozy and clean. Dr. Lee spent enough time to convince me about the treatment plan. She had good hands and communication skills and finished root canals and cap on my tooth. Of course, I feel a lot better now. No more toothache at night and I can chew on my teeth again. I'll go back to see Dr. Lee for check up and cleaning soon. If you have a dental phobia, you should see Dr. Lee. Dr. Lee and her staff are the best professionals to make you feel comfortable.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lee for the past 2 years. I have to say I feel very comfortable with and trust her medical judgment and recommendations. She is courteous, friendly and considerate. The office has a beautiful atmosphere and seems to have modern equipment. The best dentist I have ever been to and will definitely come back if i ever need work done again. And will refer to anyone that needs it.

Went to Dr. Lee for the in-office Glo teeth whitening. She is so friendly and personable, yet so meticulous and diligent! I have very sensitive gums and have experienced major sensitivity to the point of tears during a previous whitening treatment at another dentist. Other in-office whitening treatments elsewhere barely made a difference. Dr. Lee painstakingly put protective gel/balm and gauze to protect my gums and receding areas. She spent a lot of time prepping my teeth/mouth. Once the peroxide and Glo mouthpiece were in, I felt NOTHING! I was able to do all 4 sessions in one visit with zero sensation or discomfort. Nonetheless my teeth were dazzling white afterwards! They are now porcelain white, which is the lightest teeth can be. You are also sent home with a professional-grade take-home Glo whitening kit, usually worth about $200 for the regular grade with LESS peroxide. Thank you so much, Dr. Lee!

I was lucky to see Dr. Lee. Actually my friend recommended me to go. The office was clean and new. Staffs were friendly to make myself feel comfortable. Above all, her work is tremendously perfect.
